Oh man, we need to try this. I'm a severe allergy sufferer, but it only kicked in 6 months AFTER we took our awesome cat in. Can't give him up now. We HAVE to learn to keep him out of the bedroom but he scratches incessantly at the door. We're softies and we let him in. If we could discourage him from scratching/pawing at the door, there may be hope!

they're not useful for sharpening their claws (because they'll just "comb" through the bristles), and if they do, it's uncomfortable because it brushes against the skin part of their paws.
YMMV, but up until mine realized it could just leap all the way to the upper edge of the topmost mat, it actually gave us a few quiet mornings.
But honestly, can't even be mad, i'm actually super proud of her.

I clocked in on the minute, just in time. I accidentally turned my alarm off instead of hitting snooze. I hate not having time to wake up properly and get food in me and stuff first. Gona be groggy all day now.Next time stay sleeping next to me.

Haha my cat is too lazy to jump that high. It's actually a concern that she's not really athletic. The highest she'll jump is up to the table when she wants my food. -_-
My problem is that I have a loft. There are no doors to keep her out, so she'll just jump on my bed or get right next to it and meow like crazy demanding food or attention. And it's always 1-2 hours before my actual awake time! X-(

Yeah I'm thinking of getting a dog once I settle down with this cat. How do I get her to use the scratch post instead of clawing the crap outta my sofa lol? :/
With our cat it's kinda impossible/too late (he's 5). The best solution was to buy more scratching posts to distract him from getting at the furniture, and he has been doing it less!

My son got fish for his birthday once. All of them kept dying except one tiny goldfish..who refused to die and lived for four years, even after being abandoned with no heat, power, or food from a week and a half during an evacuation lol.

Yeah, fish suck. They are pretty boring and a lot of work too. However, they are pretty to look at.

My kids have had fish, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, a cat and a dog. Thanks to that I now hate all pets except cats and dogs. All they do is eat and shit and make a mess that nobody else in the house cleans up except me. The only pets that actually give you something back are cats and dogs.
