The problem with the price is for $300 (actually less) you can get either an Xbox One or PS4 with a game and both systems come with a controller, game and superior hardware. Let's not forget how much better 3rd party support there is that Nintendo won't have.
This is it in a nutshell. Not a great home console comparatively and unsatisfactory battery life as a handheld. Unless they can shed the perspective they only make consoles for Nintendo fans, it's a hard sell beyond people like me.
