Protesting the Inauguration of Donald Trump

People comparing this to protesting Obama are dumb as fuck. People protested Obama because they thought he was a Kenyan muslim socialist that usurped the Presidency (somehow) and was going to do a bunch of shit he never said he was going to do. People are protesting Trump for things he actually said he was going to do, already is doing via his cabinet nominations, and very real evidence that he was helped by Russia. There is no parallel, you are wrong.

I'm using the word "riot" because I was making a comment about perception vs reality in the days leading up to the election, and "riot" is relevant to that context.

I am responding to that other guy's comment, so it was relevant. Sheesh.

I'm not talking about any ole Republican. I carefully and intently listened to Bush's inauguration speech. Trump is vapaid and saying nothing of substance. He speaks in word salads and doesn't mean what he says. He has no coehrent belief system and even Republicans think he is full of shit.

It is a false equivalency to assume that being very angry at the President is not resonable because Republicans responded unresonably in 2008. He has historically low approval rating.

Well I'm going to the march on Saturday as I'm from Maryland, so I guess I get to cancel out your unwarranted celebration. Don't want people thinking we've somehow become a cheeto sympathist state. :P

I could wear black on Friday, but since I work from home it doesn't have much of an impact. Guess I'd have to out for Restaurant week and post on Instagram but that feels vaguely ineffectual and I could accidentally see it on TV.

I won't be watching but will try to have something else on to give it ratings instead of Donald.

Also, "Donald" is the best way to stick it to him regarding what to call him, IMO. Don't acknowledge his brand name or the office he holds but don't attack him either with simple name calling. It's pure disrespect.
 
Both sides are the same guys. Protesting Trump is the same as protesting Obama or Clinton. Yeah ok. A lot of "not" Trump supporters doing their darnest to sound like a Trump supporter.

Did it really? If it was so effective, President Obama would have been a single-term president. If anything, it showed how some Republicans were big, hypocritical crybabies. I don't want Democrats to take lessons from that.

I remember when conservatives called Obama a socialist, a Muslim,and many other horrid things and kept shouting "Not my president!" .

I remember because I happened to see such protest in my first visit to the US back in 2009.

The only protest i can do here in Mexico city is not watching the inaguration live and give him ratings. I will be watching the protests instead. So far i don't have knowledge of a march against Trump here.

If something major happens i'm sure i will find out eventually xD

They worked for eight years to get us where we are now in terms of Senate, the House, State governments, and local governments

They just don't have the person who they want to lead the helm but hey, it worked

Because if you are, prepare to live in a future where all coastal cities are flooded and war becomes rampant (what do you think will happen when several countries start turning into deserts and water becomes scarce?).

Exactly. There's a clear difference between the protests of Obama and the eventual protest of the orange parasite.

This is actually my biggest issue with Trump, the US is one of the biggest contributes to global warming and Trump doing nothing will only make things worse for the rest of the world.

She got 3 million more votes than Donald, he won by the slimmest of margins in certain states.

She was a great candidate who was completely bombarded by so much bullshit from the GOP, foreign agencies, and even her own party.

Going to the women's march in Madison. While I do despise the direction America is heading towards, I have to admit that 75% of the reason I'm going is because a bunch of college buddies will be there.

Hopefully it all goes well
