FYI Riverdale adjusted up to a .5 in the finals. Giving the people some hope...

Yeah this is good.

I'm about to give The Americans a chance since I loved the pilot but does it stay up through the seasons or does it drop in quality?

And what about Homeland? My brother-in-law mentioned that he is watching it, but I seem to have read that it drops significantly.

At least Reigns keeps CEG numbers going

watch season 1 of Homeland, don't watch any more. I haven't watched season 6 but basically the show slowly morphs from thoughtful, interesting, complex world view into basically 24. With way, way, way too much "Kim" in seasons 2 and 3.

The Americans rises in quality every season imo, it is especially a great show to binge watch since some of the slower episodes get forgotten quickly.

I can't believe Sleepy Hollow is still on. Those emerald city numbers pretty much mean the show is getting axed, right?

The Americans stays consistently excellent and even improves as it progresses. It is truly one of the best shows on TV (along with Black Sails) and is significantly underwatched.

Homeland -- yeah S1 is good, up until the writers make a horrible decision, which then sets them off on a fucking tangle of shit for the next two seasons. It has attempted to rebound, and for some weird reason I'm still watching it, but it has never come close to reaching how great it was for 90% of its first season.

The Americans is one of the most consistent shows on TV. It's like Mad Men or Breaking Bad, in that regard.

Homeland...it had some absolutely brilliant moments in Season 1. Beyond that it's just a slightly more intelligent version of 24. Less *bang bang* and more talking about if they should *bang bang* basically. Good performances but it'll never get back to where it was.

As one of the only people who watches the boring CBS shows, somehow they've managed to develop an "old people friendly counter terrorism shared universe" because now MacGyver, Hawaii 5-0, the three NCISes, Scorpion, and maybe something else I'm forgetting, all technically share the same universe. lol

JAG

JAG is the Iron Man of the CBS Universe.

Meh, Hawaii 5-0 is the only one I bother watching.

The Americans is overrated but underwatched. Season 1 is good, Season 2 is okay, Season 3 is awful (until the last 3-4 episodes) and Season 4 is great. People say it's consistent, but I disagree for a few reasons including: Season 2 was relatively pointless, and Season 3 was extremely bloated with too many plot lines.

They're all the same exact show, except the original NCIS still pretends to be about crime investigators once every 10 episodes.
I give the nod to 5-0 because I probably consider it the most "watchable" tv series around.
Even putting it on while you clean/work or just to literally watch anything on tv its a perfectly enjoyable and inoffensive show.

Wheres my Quantico s3???

In an alternate universe.

The OPFCTSU, perfect

ao I've been reading about American Crime Story and not only is it renewed up till season 4 (!) but some of the cases / books they will adapt seem...strange? One of the seasons will be about the Clinton sex scandal, what exactly is the american crime story there?

Oh, wow, I had only read about Katrina and Versace. Sounds a bit weird but then again it could also turn out pretty hilarious and people will most definitely watch it. Also, can Sarah Paulson pull off Hillary Clinton? Of course, she can!

Is it supposed to be the same actors, like AHS style?

a) Oh geez, I hadn't heard about S4.

b) You missed some wild times.

c) In some ways, this would be mining some of the same 90s sexism elements that OJ touched on.

d) I look forward to scenes of young teenagers looking up the Starr Report and having very confused feelings about what they find.

oh. Well now I feel dumb, I didnt realise they actually tried to impeech him.
Bill Clinton was impeached, for perjuring himself over a blowjob. The Senate then acquitted him.

Is it supposed to be the same actors, like AHS style?
Not as much, but as always, Ryan Murphy does enjoy hiring the same people when possible. 3 or 4 OJ actors are known to be returning for Katrina.

oh ACS is a Ryan Murphy joint?

...hence the fucking title similarities to AHS lol?

The Americans is easily one of the best shows on TV and gets even better as it goes on.

But didn't Murphy pick that for S2? Too similar from OJ?

I know NBC is bringing back Law and Order as a ACS copycat and S1 is that.
No. Menendez Brothers were never up for ACS. Murphy has also stated that he doesn't want that show to do another trial.

He's an executive producer and also directed several of the episodes. He doesn't write for the show, however. Thank god.
That's actually great! I think he is also making a new show called Feuds, is he writing for that too?

This is so amazing, I'm super excited for it.

Wait really? That's I guess a good way to keep things fresh.

People really forget how good the first half of season 2 was, including probably the best episode of the series. Of course then the back half, and all of season 3, went off the rails.

Season 4 onwards have been good. A (much) smarter 24 is a good description of latter day Homeland.

What are the chances of The 100 getting renewed with a 0.4 rating? I mean it's lower than their superhero shows but stuff like Reign and Vampire Diaries are ending and The Originals is probably on its last legs as well, while No Tomorrow and Frequency are likely getting cancelled.

I'm going through Season 1 and is quite enjoying the show.

Don't worry, you won't be wishing that after you're done watching Season 2 & 3.

It was a miracle that the show even got 4th season, so I'm expecting this will be the last.

I heard S2 is fantastic so I have expectations for that one. And then that it kind of crashed with S3 but how are they doing with S4? Has it recovered in quality? If Season 4 is gonna be the last then I kind of just wanna drop it when I'm finished with S1.
