It's annoying how everyone and their mother was defending every idiotic thing this guy makes and backing him up cause gamer makes money and is successful so cool.
I now see those same people possibly trying to get him out of this one.
The guy's shtick is ridiculously stupid in nature. I'll just leave it at that. Have fun with your money, and I am sure he really doesn't care about this anyway.
Also, all the people rallying around him because he gives to charity. Big deal lol. He has tons of money. A lot of people with tons of money give to charity. People without tons of money give to charity. I give to charity. It means nothing about your actual character and persona.

That's fair. I'm just glad you said at least that much (bolded) because it means this discussion is accomplishing something good. On the whole, I agree with you about the purpose of satire. I'm just concerned that his intent was twisted and lost in translation, whether because of language/cultural barriers or simply that he just isn't a great comedian/writer and good idea didn't translate well from paper to screen. It happens. A lot. As a society we have to be very careful about snap-judgments turning into witch-hunts. The classic "hero becomes the villain" and all that.
My hope is that people can take a beat and try to wait until we have more info before we draw and quarter him in a public square. If it turns out that he is, in fact, an alt-right lunatic I'll be the first person in line to put the guy on the chopping block.What year is in now? 1947? 1948?

Yes, and nowadays they apologize for it and, if ever they release anything like this, they include messages talking about these not as entertainment but rather the cultural significance, explaining the racist attitudes of the time that informed the decisions made in the films/episodes

I mean you can find it funny or not funny, but it's pretty clear it was a shot at absurdist satirical humor.

I think the whole point of it being bad is that it's War Propaganda, which is something pretty weird for a kid's cartoon. It also comes off as of xenophobic on a lot of parts.
