I get that feel too. Nvidia is behind the graphical hardware, and they made the fantastic Shield TV...

That's very similar to how the iPad's settings screen is laid out too. It's just a modern design approach.

When people ask for an achievement system, they usually want a system-wide system with achievements for all games, which My Nintendo is not.

Only because there is no system out yet to leverage the achievement system. They built it into their mobile games, though.

MyNintendo is the account structure that would track software usage and mission status and stuff. I'm not saying for sure it's going to be there, but it's good enough for me the way it is. Club Nintendo was a better achievement system than anything anyone else made, because playing Nintendo games got you Nintendo swag. Physical rewards.

I own all the Nintendo consoles but as a Trophy whore the games always get bumped down the backlog list. I still have a Wii U so I might get Zelda for that in a few months

I don't see the problem. I get more value out of my money with games with trophies. I get an average of about 20 extra hours out of a game with trophies. I played Hyrule Warriors and stopped playing once the story was finished. That was about 20 hours and never went back. I played Dragon Quest Heroes and got the Platinum after 60 hours of play. It adds to the Experience for me.

Seeing that the Mission Rewards of MyNintendo provide actual uses for the points (discounts, themes, etc.), I actually prefer them.

MyNintendo is really nice as an extra, I love it even if it does feel rather simple at times.
