My preview of the Switch is up over at USgamer.
Tons and tons of images of the system and all its accessories.
I will take any questions while I'm awake too.
How's the official switch case? Look durable and snug and won't mess up the analog sticks?

Can you do this on other consoles?
Sorry guys. The source is a couple gaffers I follow who've nailed stuff like this on the past.

As for the left joycon issue, it may be related to wifi.
I suspect the wifi chip is located on the left side of the Switch. Therefore, these desyng/lags may happen because wifi is activated and using the 2.4Ghz band, which is the same as the bluetooth band. So maybe some people didnt jave the issue either because wifi was off or connected to a 5ghz hotspot.
If anyone can try...

"Zelda seems to last around three hours before running out of juice."
Not sure if it's relevant but Gameblog.fr just showed screens of Zelda (ultra low quality + thumbnails).
It's probably spoiling, so click at your own risk.

This is a fair assessment. I think by now all Day 1 adopters, like myself, know exactly what to expect.
Why do people care about the activity log?
The polygon preview said they had hardware problem with the controllers becoming unsynched. That's not good.
It's not a problem on the Switch, just the grip or in each hand.Ah, sorry to be unclear. What I meant was, it's a problem in the grip to have them close together and so narrow but not when using them on the Switch or when having one in each hand. Theoretically, if they were usable for you one in each hand, in that format you wouldn't have the same issue as you have in the grip, right?
Can I ask if you have pretty large hands?
Why do people care about the activity log?
Come on, neither of the other two consoles had anything similar to the latter two at their launches. The synchronization issues are the only legitimate point he has here.

They also had a much better launch line-up though.

Could it be that some batteries are damaged or aged in a bad way during storage?

Edit: On the subject of activity log it kind of sucks but isn't a big deal. I honestly think all the consoles should have them, sad to see Nintendo moving away from having it.

If the joycon problem impacts every unit and there is no software fix it will be an interesting launch.
At least I'll have my Pro controller for Zelda fun times!
Pretty much rest assured Nintendo would fix the problem.

Can't read for the next 30 minutes...so just one question:
Did you have fun with the switch?
did the L joycon desync issue happened to your review unit? also, default adapter is 100-240V right?
edit: oh you already answered 1st question
The Charging Grip and Pro Controller both come with USB-C cables. I don't have my tape measure right now, so I'll say at least 5 feet, possibly 6?How long is the USB-C cable that is included with the Pro Controller? Thanks!
Breaking the NDA in the smartest of ways
These guys really are dumbasses
Hot damn! One of the guys from NWR (Nintendo World Report) has some fantastic news about the battery dying! Apparently if you let it go all the way down, the system kicks itself into sleep mode and saves your progress.
His accidental test allowed him to resume playing after 30 minutes between the battery dying and docking the console. That's fucking ace.

Then why didn't he say "bad launch lineup" if that's the actual indicator of a rushed launch?

It's a neat feature.

Could be worrisome. Only thing keeping me calm is the fact that I did nott read a single report of this issue from any of the recent media or public events. Was literally thousands of people's accounts and none mentioned this issue. I am betting is a bug that was introduced in one off their final builds of the release OS that (now reported, possibly known) will get patched asap.
Just REALLY hope its not in any wany a bad batch of hardware
