weird that Original is still going then... or maybe not so weird, Angel went on (well for 1 season) after Buffy was over I guess.
And it seems like the TVD final is gonna set up something for The Originals. I hope Caroline moves over to Klaus and co. It's the better show anyway.

On random British news, I had no idea they did a Prime Suspect prequel. I guess if you can't afford Helen Mirren anymore, what better way to continue the franchise than to make a cop show set in the 70s with the same character as a young cop instead. lol

Going to miss TVD. Been watching it for like 7 years, but at least The Originals will go on some more, hoping for at least two more seasons.

I know it's the CW and all, but The Originals would be lucky to get one more season with how low their ratings are.

This farewell party is so sweet and sad at the same time. I'll miss all of the characters. Been with you for 8 years and now it's ending. Too bad Ian and Paul couldn't make it to the party though.

I really hope the finale sets up something for The Originals. Even a character transfer.

[edit] Oh, so Julie Plec just said that she's very open to TVD character appearing on The Originals if the actors feel like giving it another shot. But for now she would like to give the characters a break, although one has already been confirmed to appear in Season 4 of The Originals.

Sat down to watch this week's This Is Us after being out of town on business this week, only to find out The Voice ran over by more than 10 minutes and basically fucked up the recording.

Thanks, NBC.

Of course the on demand version isn't up on DTV yet (not sure why, three days later).

Thanks again, NBC.

Keep taking L's, you fucktards.

Just watch it on their website.

My wife and I watch it together. Didn't feel like huddling over her laptop. Our Chromecast is on the back porch and didn't feel like moving it and it's too chilly out to watch it out there. Whatever. If NBC doesn't want to make it easy, I'll watch something else.

Hopefully they'll have it up on demand this weekend.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with it. Getting cut back to 13 episodes wasn't exactly a vote of confidence.
We knew fairly fast that Vampire Diaries and Reign were ending. We don't know that for The Originals so they might not be working towards a series finale. Which makes me hope they will get a fifth final season.

Yeah a short order for next year as a send-off seems like the best/most likely thing to me.

This is why you always have your DVR set to go 10-15 mins over just in case.

TVD finale aired? End of an era. I still remember how many years ago one of my friends recommended me this show and told me to patiently sit through the first few Twilightish episodes. I enjoyed it for about 3 seasons, but then eventually dropped it and never returned.

Rosewood is still on? I thought it was canned after one season. Guess it will be canned after 2 seasons :p

US Gaf , any news on the renewels of Gotham and Agents of SHIELD? are they safe to be renewed?

Gotham is 99,99% renewed. It would take a complete diseaster for it to be canceled after S3. Shows that have 20+ eps per year almost never get canceled in S3. Too much money to be made with S4 long term with 88 eps+, so they get renewed even if they have crappy ratings, which Gotham does not.

You dropped at perfect moment. It started collapsing after S3.
S1-2 are still some of the most fun I ever had with TV show.

Skipped S2 of Broadchurch because it was so shit, but S3 seems okay so far. Hope it doens't shit the bed.

Also, I guess that's where I recognized Rip Hunter from. lol

That is mainly for shows the network owns. Otherwise it is a bit of a stand of between them and the owner to lower the price.

Well if you watched Doctor Who he was also a companion for a couple of years with Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.

I would highly recommend at least checking out all of modern Who.
The way people talk about Gattis or Moffat or whomever in the OT feels exactly like the way Trek fans talked about Berman and Braga back in the day. I'm not a big enough Who fan to want to watch the British equivalent of Star Trek Voyager/Enterprise. lol

Colony started slow af this year but damn the last couple of eps have gotten back to that S1 tension.

Anyone know how it's doing? Any indication of whether it'll be back for S3?

Sunday ratings are delayed because of Daylight Saving Time because apparently the rest of the world has to be to things on time but it's OK for Nielsen to be lazy.

To be fair, most of us rest of the world'ers don't go to DST for another two weeks, or not at all.

Actually removed New Girl from my queue a few weeks ago, it was never great, but I enjoyed it enough until I stopped enjoying it at all and it just became one of those programs that are on in the background while I do other things. So yeah, it's time.

It's up in the air right now, and I haven't heard anything definitive. The first run numbers are down from S1, as are the timeshifted numbers. I assume we'll hear something before this season is over.
