Wtf man that's too much over a throw away tongue in cheek joke? People have lost thier minds of late.

That's a symptom, not the cause.

It seems like he's gotten further and further away personality wise from Greg and the others, and his reaction to the joke (not so much the joke itself, which was just a dumb hacky joke) probably put too much stress on the company.

Their whole business can only exist with fan support, and if you have one of the key members of the team calling their fans "humorless sacks of shit" that's going to cause problems.

Can't say I'm surprised.

I'd stopped listening to KF stuff a few months ago due to Colin, I just couldn't enjoy his personality. He doesn't seem like the same person he did back in his TRL or Beyond days.
I guess I should give the KF stuff a try again. I'm curious to see who takes his place in PSILY. I like Tim, but I don't know if he fits a PS podcast.

As much as I don't like Colin's attitude lately, and I don't really approve of his behavior, I do wish him the best. He genuinely has seemed depressed for a while, so I hope maybe he finds happiness. Who knows, maybe once he's happy with himself then he can view the world a bit different.

I may check KF out more now. This change is certainly to my taste. And according to Colin, this has nothing to do with the lame joke he made, so nobody needs to feel bad for him as he took the decision himself.

Wow that was sudden. I was just wondering about him last night in the JonTron alt-right thread and now this. Things sure do move fast nowadays.

Well this is very surprising.

No it's not. He was attracting the wrong kind of attention from the wrong kind of people and effectively dividing the Kinda Funny community as well as receiving criticism from others in the games industry. This was coming.

I don't agree with the dumb joke he made, but that's all it was. A dumb joke. I loved the back-and-forth between him and Greg. I don't agree with everything he says, but to see this happen over nothing more than an eye-rolling tweet is sad.

It started with that, but he really didn't help himself by calling a ton of people 'humorless shitbags' (or whatever it was), undermining Greg's damage control attempts, and doing nothing to curb the tidal wave of alt-right shitheads attacking Greg/Tim/Altano.

Guy's got a pattern of selfish, arrogant behavior and the joke was just the last little nudge that pushed everything over the edge.

Politics 100% aside, his alternating stubbornness and disinterest in their gaming podcasts got me to stop listening. I we see what happens with PS I Love You now.

Man, Colin is really a polarizing person for me. I think he's great on podcasts and he seems like the kind of guy who would be cool to know personally. On the other hand some of his views are so frustratingly illogical and short-sighted.

At any rate I wish him the best.

Nice I can listen to kinda funny again. He really created a super toxic atmosphere be it involuntary or not. The people that flocked to him in the recent shitstorm are fucking scary. Made me quit KF entirely but maybe I can come back now and they actually create this welcoming and positive community like they set out.

Also not a Colin hater I enjoyed his other perspective many times especially during the beyond years but the recent month the guy just displayed less and less empathy publicly and it became unbearable.

You guys do know that Colin is a gaffer and is likely reading all of this shit, right?

Oh shit, I take it back, his political opinions aren't stupid and wrong after all. I thought he was just uninformed and intellectually lazy but now that I know he's a gaffer I guess he's a cool dude.

Good luck Colin, I've been following you and Greg since podcast beyond. Interested to see what he does next and what KF does also.

RIP KF I guess.

PSILY XOXO was one of the main reasons many people subbed and supported them, I cant see Greg and Tim being able to continue with as much support now. Watch their Patreon numbers go down.

Best of luck to all of them.

I think it was far more than just the tweet. I definitely believe that it was a build-up as well as stuff we may not know about.

So I found Kinda Funny last week, watched all of Colins video's and conversations. Loved how in-depth they were and now he's leaving?! Brill... Just when I was getting started and began to enjoy/understand his views on everything he's leaving? Hope he carries on his videos in some way. But I guess he may go the Final Bosman route.

It's time for your boy Tim to shine

Eh, dude is a nice host but he's no Colin replacement.

While I don't think he handled this particular situation well, I am very sad to see him go as a long time fan from the Beyond days. Bummer.

I'm in this boat as well.

I'll continue to support KF, but man... I can't believe there's gonna be no more Colin and Greg.

Wasn't this rather predictable? It seems like a difficult person to work with, especially for a small group of people that KF was/is.

That said, I like Colin and his view on gaming, I agree with him on a lot of things. He has weird political views, but I don't care about that. I listen for his opinion about gaming.
So it's pretty safe to say I'm anxiously waiting to see what he's doing next (about gaming).

Kinda Funny is fine without him, Greg alone will attract enough people to their channel and without Colin they can also do more conventions etc. It always seemed like Colin was the one who was holding them back for such things.

Dude always rubbed me the wrong way, going back to the IGN days. Always had an air of self-importance and when he spoke about games, I always felt like he did so with the angle of "I need to prove why I'm right about this and why people who disagree are objectively wrong." His recent behavior was just icing on the cake.
