I have Origin Access, but it still won't let me preload the game until the 17th. Is there something I'm missing? Somewhere I need to go?
It should be underneath the Pre-order button on the store page.

10 hours of actual play time. So if you end up spending 9 hours and 30 minutes in character creation then you can only play 30 minutes of the actual game.So is this a timed 10 hours as in if I spend 9:30 in character creation I can only play 30 minutes, or is it gated at a supposed 10 hour mark?

I can see it.She somewhat reminds me of Ted Mosby.

Go to the trial access section, and under ME:A, look at the different purchasing options for standard, deluxe, super deluxe, etc.... one of those 3 should show the download now option under them.
Huh, tried that but I click and nothing happens. I'm updating Origin to see if that helps. Does it matter if I already preordered the game?
Ive just got to Eos (or whatever the 2nd planet it called, sorry if I got it wrong) and during in game cut scene Ryder is not wearing a helmet, neither is Cora or Liam, as soon as Im back playing a helmet pops on, but only on Ryder. Cora and Liam are more than happy to walk about planet side in a toxic atmosphere. Hell, so is Ryder except when he wants to have a chat (be he indoors or not). I dont care what anyone says, thats immersive breaking.
The impression I'm getting from even the positive comments is that the game is uninspired. One of the commentators on the Kotaku podcast nailed it in that they seem to be following what was expected of them and nothing more.
Hmm. Perhaps. I wouldn't disagree with that assessment. It's not revolutionary, at least not in terms of gameplay. It seems to refine the mechanics of ME3. But I'm of the mind, if it ain't broke . . .
That said, it's really hard to assess the story at this point.
Sigh. Sorry if there were spoilers. It's not the full game, so I figured it was fine.Your post makes it pretty clear that you didn't pay much attention at all.
Also nice spoilers. I'm not a jerk so:
The AI that is illegally developed and breaks all sorts of laws, gee I wonder why that might be kept a secret? Your father essentially created artificial life in SAM, he didn't tell anyone because the council had already shut down his research into this field. Your AI keeps this secret from other people because, well, it's illegal and people would freak out. Sam was literally DESIGNED to make people into super soldiers and that was shot down, it's not that it can't be replicated, it's not it's not supposed to exist. Ryder isn't 'special' other than your father having SAM bond with you, which nearly (does briefly) kills you at the beginning of the game. The only 'private' things the AI tells to you are the things that are related to your illicit junction with each other, or things about your father.
Summation: your complaint makes no sense, because all of the answers to the questions you're asking are literally a part of the very conversation in which those things happen in the first place.

When do the reviews go up, Tuesday?
It's just that Casey Hudson had a clear vision for each of the games in that of what type of stories he wanted to tell and what type of game he wanted to make. That sort of strong direction permeated throughout the game and he tried to make every game in the OT unique and a noticeable improvement over the predecessor. I don't see that sort of drive from Andromeda in that they're trying to refine per say rather than making a huge jump.
The combat is sublime. Truly.Man combat in this game looks like a shitload of fun. Really tempted to day one this.
I can't access the deluxe stuff either. I don't think it goes live until Tuesday. 🙃Are you guys able to access your pre order/special edition stuff in the trial? I Dont see the special delivery thing in the bedroom.

I've done all of the main story stuff in the early access build and I think all of the available side missions too, and it's still not there in my cabin.Supposedly, once you reach a certain point in the storybecome the pathfinder and get access to the Tempest, you can access them in your cabin in a container.

As much as I want to be wrong, I don't see how it's good writing.
If something's illegal and has to be kept under wraps, it's a mighty fine convenient miracle that the person leading the entire human side of the initiative has this top-secret advantage nobody knows about while at the same time is being openly worshiped for said advantage. Whether or not the AI is supposed to exist, Alec Ryder could've recruited others to be the same as him. If you can develop one sentient AI, you can develop others. And if it makes people into super soldiers...why not just...you know...spread it around to give us a fighting chance. It's not like people are opposed to being enhanced by all sorts of implants. This is Mass Effect. Unless the Council cut funding or something before he could get around to that and let him off the hook because he was N7. You're right. I probably missed something.
Regardless, it doesn't matter if the entire Andromeda Initiative knew about Alec Ryder's super secret AI and were collectively on the run as outlaws. The point I was trying to make is that the Pathfinder as a concept is a joke that makes no sense, especially with how it relates to being magically able to decipher alien tech in a completely separate galaxy. With this kind of space magic available, any sort of lingering historical questions in the original trilogy would've been answered immediately with one scan of a Prothean artifact.

Hmmm. Interesting. I'll check again tomorrow and see if they showed up.They were there for me there's a music player.

Cheers! Wasn't too worried just thought maybe I was an idiot and didn't see it lolThe Origin customer service person said it unlocks on launch day. but it is found in your cabin.
You can bone the Alien dude Jaal as both genders according to datamining.
The combat is sublime. Truly.
I'm currently working on a fully biotic build and it feels just like Mass Effect should. Pulling and Throwing is as satisfying as ever.
I don't think it's being unfairly nitpicky, but I will admit that the way the game starts rubbed me the wrong way for a lot of reasons, especially how serious events happen with such little fanfare. Maybe I'm blaming the story setup a little too much for my overall opinion of things.[snip]
Anyone getting bad performance? I have a Skylake high end i7 32 gb of ddr4 ram an overclocked 1080 running at 3440x1440 and was getting 20 fps in cutscenes. At all ultra settings. The game doesn't look good enough for that frame rate. I mean it's frostbite it should run great.
So that'd be two male same-sex options down. If they stick to how they did it in ME3/DAI, that's all there is. Man, that would be a pretty big disappointment.Ah, I think you read my post before the edit. I remembered Jaal and added that his species was about as unappealing to me as the Krogans or Salarians.
Rip
Yeah I think that's it. I'm okay with alien D tho so I'm good with him and Liam
