This is literally Ubuntu's idea to the T that they tried to do like 5 years ago.

Been thinking about ditching my iPhone 5S for a while now. I'm sick of Siri being useless.

Was considering picking up an S7, but I'm thinking I'd like to pre-order this S8.

Ubuntu just tried to get out in front of MSs continuum. It only ever existed after it becane quite obvious what MSs enf game was.

Also, Ubuntu and MS unfortunately have sucky user bases in mobile.

I was excited for continuum for a long time but the lack of support for MS mobile killed it.

Samsung on the other hand have the base to make this an actual thing for real.

Bixby isn't gonna be that much better.

The secret here is most digital assistants suck for the average user.

Was kind of serious because World curling championships didn't show for me, neither does college hockey.

What scores were you looking for?

I asked NY Rangers score it gave me a web search and I asked when the Mets's opening day game was and it gave me a search. I asked again and it gave me the right answer and this had happened 1 too many times then I just stopped using it.

I would just stick with my iPhone if Apple let me change my 'default' assistant. Then I would just use the Google app and integrate it, but alas, I cannot.

As expected, the screen just got bigger.

Speed improvement is small (10% proc, 20%gfx in a 15 month gap!), Bixby doesn't do much more (if more) than other assistants. Dex is Continuum basically. Absolutely nothing in it is special.

Too many hiccups in these presentations but nevertheless was entertaining and i hope once extensive reviews are out, this gets Samsung back to gaining those who have almost lost all trust in them and the brand.

The S8/S8+ looks fantastic but for now, will see how long my S3 goes until i can afford to jump onboard :D.

That ostrich was cute and funny.

I only wish they have Matte or non glossy variations .. the ones on the S7 is a bitch for someone like me who have sweaty palms..

Apple is the farthest away from this Desktop and Mobile OS fusion from all the big companies. I wonder how they'll react to this.

In theory iOS is based on OSX so they aren't that apart but Apple clearly divides the two even having products doing the similar stuff but with iOS instead of MacOS.

Really curious what's to come.

Theyre not just farthest away, theyre not really on the playing field at all and nothing about their core philosophy will allow them to join.

When we might start seeing the performance reviews? That was a major factor that soured me on the Note 7.

I like how the phone looks, but I like iMessage too much. Being able to text from my MacBook is a godsend. I still don't get how to do that with android texting.

Best thing is the new screen which is indeed beatiful and I love that they haven't followed Apple in getting rid of the 3.5mm jack.
But the rest seems a meager update to me. Just a 10-20% performance boost, still 4GB of RAM, 3000mAh battery on the S8, back camera is pretty much the same of the S7?
Since I have to change my smartphone I will consider this later this year at no more than 500$.
Launch price is outrageous.
