Nintendo Direct on April 12 (3PM PT, Switch/3DS, mainly Splarms)

The 80 VC titles thing is something that I both want and dread. My poor wallet can't handle that!

Heck... My wallet can't handle that 04/04 "leak" at all. I'd have to ditch my plans for Project Scorpio and just focus on my Switch this year. Though I'm kind of debating that anyway.

You've already got your XB1, so, go all in on Switch I say! That's my plan at least. I guess it will depend on what Scorpio offers this year. Regarding VC I'm starting to think despite my previous hopes otherwise that a drip feed is likely. I do hope to be wrong on that.

That leak is so fake. We aren't gonna get so many games announced. That "leak" has over 10 new games announced. We barely got that many at the hour long Switch reveal conference.

Ah, yeah, that is a good point. There are a lot of new games there. How about the other leak though, you think that is likelier?

If it's too good to be true, I remain skeptical. I'd love for it to be true, I haven't gotten anything VC-related since the Wii and stopped at a certain point, so I'm excited to get back to the classics.

I'm sure you're right to be skeptical. The recent times 4Chan has gotten Nintendo leaks right is probably just spoiling me haha. Hopefully VC will arrive in a satisfying form, and soon.

No confirmation on that yet, but I would be surprised if it was Russia only.

And yeah there's no wheel in the leaked bundle.

Hmm, yeah, I was only speculating as to the Russia-only bundle because it seems unusual for Nintendo to bundle readily-selling Switch with MK8. It's atypical for Nintendo to bundle a brand new game...I thought. Maybe it's more common for HHs and I'm thinking of for consoles? But even then it's atypical I thought.

Can we have a countdown ?
It should be mandatory in every OP :<

Here's the timer for the new page.

There's a difference between places hosting live events having people photo the setup and digital events being leaked. There has been one leaked Direct. One.

There's been all sorts leaked on their so it's not impossible. Even Sun and Moon and Oras stuff was leaked on their bloodborne trailer that was never actually released the as wells as the Switch Presentation etc.

I'm 90% sure they won't bother with VC on the switch until they start making us pay for online. Like I said earlier, they'll probably reason that releasing the VC games before that point would decrease the value of the subscription service.

I don't get the connection between VC and online service

I have my expectations as low as possible, I'm expecting the big stuff at E3. It seems quite clear from the description of this Direct that the focus really will be Arms and Splatoon 2, so I'm not expecting a whole lot more beyond that.

More than happy to be proven wrong though.

I'd like to hope that Splatoon 2 will come out in June (this would be perfect for me and my wife, who'll be on summer break at that time), but the fact that they passed over the opportunity to announce a Q2 release window (like Arms) and said "summer" instead makes me feel like it'll be mid-Q3.

N64-VC on Switch would be amazing.

Please no. Just port/remaster the stuff that matters (Mario 64, Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, Star Fox 64, maybe a couple other things). I don't want to deal with emulating original N64 control schemes on Switch.

I'd be pretty bummed if we had to wait until August for Spla2n. Testfire got me all moist.

Honestly, I've had my fun with BOTW, and Mario Odyssey will obviously be magnificent, but VC is the true killer app for the Switch I'm waiting on.

The online subscription gives you a free VC game for one month each month with online play.

If you can buy the entire VC library, which will probably be like 10-15 games because of that slow drip feed stuff they always do, before the subscription service is even out, then I can see the higher ups at Nintendo thinking this will make people less likely too pay for online or something because they already have the game they got for "free".

You're combining all forms of leaks. Come on now.

There's been plenty of Nintendo leaks regardless you can't exactly ignore the number. Not say this is legit but there's clearly someone at Nintendo with access to this shit that visits the site.

The vast majority of people mocked the switch presentation leak and it was completely right and it's not that easy to get access to it.

This is true for every former console btw.
The number of relevant releases really isn't that big for every platform.

Seriously, Monster Hunter Stories would work very good in Spain and France with the anime. I don't know what it's waiting Capcom.

A Switch version would be beautiful.

Perhaps, however the vast majority of "leaks" are absolute bullshit and accurate ones does not mean things from there should be trusted.

A switch version of many things would be beatiful, a switch version of GTA5 would be nice, how about the tales games? Berseria would be a perfect fit with very little compromise in graphics.

There are missed opportunities everywhere, but I don't blame them because of the Wii U. I will blame them if they don't start with game announcements in e3 and TGS because by then, it should be clear that it isn't Wii U 2.
