search for "Navigation Bar" in Settings, then see if "Unlock with Home button" is selected.
There are a few apps you can download that make the button do other stuff. I don't know what they are though. Sorry!

it's still there, and if I turn that off you'll need to swipe up to scan iris after pressing the home button.
I got that text the first time I turned on the AOD. It should go away if you unlock it with a hard press. You cant do the double tap since it's not actually showing the home button.

Okay I finally found the solution, in always on display - content to show, you have to choose home button and clock or information then follow the tutorial (double tap home and press home) after that it's gone. Mine shown like that because I choose clock or information first time I go to the settings.
This is my first Samsung/touchwiz device, I'm really overwhelmed by the feature and settings.
Yeah I haven't done the double tap home because I turn off that home button.

Yep that's one of the first settings I changed. After I changed it I read somewhere that the pixels are always shifting on the always on screen. When I look closely it does look different visually.
I've just nuked Bixby with a package manager. It does now mean I have a redundant hardware button that doesn't do anything though.

Does anyone with the AT&T variant can get Wi-Fi Calling to work? I have it selected in Settings and the way it works on iOS is that it just uses the feature whenever it's connected to the WiFi network. On my GS8+ I just can't get it to work at all no matter what I do. Do I have a dud?

Does your Wi-Fi icon has + sign? That means it is on. And when you added going to call, it will show a WiFi icon next to the phone icon in the contacts.
It only goes for WiFi calling when you have 2 bars of signal or less, or are on 3G.

Nope no + sign and my signal at home hovers between 2-3 bars inside the house. I guess I will have to try it somewhere else (First world problems that I won't get to try a feature because I have enough signal at the house for it not to be needed).
Started to get some lag when transitioning into other apps. Was about to reboot, but before I did, I disabled or uninstalled all motion backgrounds, got rid of bloat and I restarted. Still didn't work. The lag was still there. So then I bought Nova launcher. Feels like a different phone already. Very snappy.

Works fine for me on at&t. Did you do the full setup? Pick your address for 911 etc.

Yeah I did this. I also went into my router settings and opened up the ports necessary for WiFi calling on AT&T. I also turned it off and on multiple times in Settings and even reset all network settings but no dice.

Yes, old SIMs even though they may be Nano-SIMs can even prevent VoLTE from working.

Lol I went to get my sister's S8 and Tmobile systems are down. Then I remembered I can just get it at Costco and get all the promos and the 150 gift card as well. Gonna do that tomorrow.

I just use the S-view Flip cover.
I bought the Spigen Neoflex Screen Protector for my S8+ (I'm using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case for reference). Ended up taking it off after a week because it wasn't sticking that great, but it seemed like one of the better screen protectors available while I was shopping for one on Amazon.
Honestly, the curved screen doesn't seem to play well with most screen protectors from what I've heard and the glass on the screen is so nice and smooth it almost doesn't feel right putting a protector on it.

Anyone upgrade to S8 from the Nexus 6P? Considering getting S8, even if that means going to a more expensive carrier. My charger port is shot on my Nexus and instead of getting it repaired, I thought maybe I should go ahead and upgrade. Also, how are the included headphones?

They're actually pretty decent. There is some bass there but a lot more treble as usual. I can't tell the difference when UHQ upscaler is on or off. I'm looking for some headphones that will skip forward and back 10 sec on tracks like my PowerBeats did on my old 6s+
This has been my experience as well. I tried the Armorsuit screen protector and just couldn't get it to fit well with the curve. Maybe if I spent more time trying I could have made it work, but man the glass is just like silk, I'm not sure I can bring myself to cover it up anymore.
Dang really? I was hoping the film would have better results. The alpha glass is nice, but the adhesive is already loose after about a week. That and I'm restricted to my otterbox symmetry case. I rather use my slim armor for the kickstand.
I just want to preserve my screen =(

Does it activate for you guys even if you have more than 2 signal bars? Because I dont really care if it doesnt work if I dont need it because I have great signal inside my house. What Im afraid of is that its not working and when I need it is not available for me.

Ok so mine is not working. Time to get in contact with AT&T.
Sometimes I see it sometimes I don't lol. I assume the bars isn't what it's using for measurement. Probably some internal thing,but best to give them a call.
