*Added a bit more.

People are talking about whether or not this year's E3 can top the last two, but for me personally I'm thinking it will. I know that for a lot of people FFVII remake, Shenmue 3, and Death Stranding were megatons, but those games don't really appeal to me. I'm much more excited to see some Spiderman gameplay, more God of War, Days Gone, and GT: Sport. Something for The Last of Us Part II. And the third party marketing Sony has picked up, specifcally COD: WWII (and I've never bought a COD) and Red Dead Redemption 2, which is my most anticipated game. And I'm sure there will be a couple more surprises thrown in there. So for me, this is shaping up to be Sony's best E3.

2015 will never be topped purely because the triple-whammy of Shenmue 3, FF7 Remake, and The Last Guardian was ripped straight from the collective fan fiction of the gaming industry. You could have zero interest in any of them but you could never deny the magnitude of those announcements. I mean it, I don't think it will ever be topped.

Outside of Half-life 3, i cannot think of any game with that impact.

I do acknowledge the magnitude of the "triple whammy" but on a personal level, I've never played a Final Fantasy, and hadn't even heard of Shenmue until E3 2015. So they didn't really resonate with me (I do plan to pick up The Last Guardian at some point) where Red Dead Redemption and The Last of Us are both in my top 3 games of all time, so the prospect of seeing both their sequels, plus the other games I mentioned, make me think I have a lot more to look forward to compared to previous years.

A thread was already made and locked because most of the time threads for rumours started on Twitter aren't allowed (exceptions being like when shinobi teased God of War PS4 because of his track record).

And a lot of Jose's (at least recent) leaks weren't impressive IMO. Like he "leaked" The Last of Us Part II after shinobi already leaked it and in January 2017 any person somewhat aware of Nintendo's games lineup/studios could guess Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem and Metroid in 2018. Also they say in this article that he said FFXV leaks that were true were false? Doesn't that heavily discredit him as a source?
not really the leaks for ffxv were true but also flase as well some of the stuff were different so in way you could say they were false but i od think we getting a kh3 trailer with a 2018 date and final fantasy 7 remake trailer at e3 which another nomura project hope it twewy 2

Its unlikely you will see RDR2 at E3. Can't remember the last time R* debuted gameplay/new trailer at E3 for a previously unreleased game.

Id love to be wrong however.

The stuff that were false are stuff that could get cut/deleted due to time constraints. The most important thing for me was what he said about FFXVI. Many doubted the leak because he said it isn't in development and won't be unless FFXV was successful. Considering that SE doesn't have free studios at the moment and the fact that Tabata at GDC said that the company considered FFXV as the last game in the franchise if it didn't sell well... then i guess the leak was 100% true.

Kojima gives Ludvig all the tools he needs to make an awesome soundtrack.

Just look at this, looks like some hollywood blockbuster composer's workplace like Hans Zimmer lol.

In this thread it seems the consensus is the vast majority of the stuff in the XV leak was true and the wrong stuff could have very easily been changed when the game got delayed/changed around before launch.

even so it was part of the leak before the changes happened and those stuff could consider fake still so in a way it both true and false

He declared it all false, there happening to be minor details incorrect doesn't mean he should be given praise for calling that leak or credited with leaking FFXV like I've seen some KH fans saying he did.

For now (based on how little I trust this story), I think KH3 will come out with as much cut content as KH2, BBS etc. had 👍.

it nomura so expect couple summons, one or two worlds, little story stufff like next saga stuff maybe a secret boss or two

I feel DMC5 confirmation is long overdue, I cannot see it missing all 3 events this year (E3, TGS, PSX). Maybe 1 or 2 but not all. Ideally it should be E3 for the biggest splash.

You'll get some Lost Soul Aside and you will like it, god dammit!

:P
I do like that.

I think missing out on E3 would be too stupid for Capcom, since Devil May Cry will have a representative in MvC:I.

MvC:I is pretty hot right now. They should announce DMC5 along that and enjoy the free advertisement that the game gets because of MvC:I. They can even have a DMC5 skin for Dante to make better use of this opportunity.

They did the same with PSASBR and DmC, so it would be really make sense for them to miss out on doing the same with their own fighting game.

I really want Death Stranding to not be shown during this E3. The game is so far off and the hype is already there.

Imagine if Horizon was revealed in 2011 and every year until it's release we got a trailer during E3...

I...I know what you mean but that music! I need to see some tense gameplay with it now!

Kojima trailers are the reason to keep living so I'm ok with it

Yeah, I could be wrong, but I think unless Rockstar has a blowout between now and then that Sony will get to show something, since they have the marketing deal. At least I hope they will.

When they show Death Stranding, close your eyes.

There, problem solved.

Anyone else have any problems that need solving?

Also, if you've seen either/both of their past two E3 conferences in theaters, I'd love to hear about your experiences and whether you'd see it again in theaters.

*Added a bit more.

So to recap based on this list and my memory of last 3 E3s, this is what we should expect from Sony's conference this year:

-They start their conference with a recognizable IP/the reveal of that IP (Not sure, could be anything at this point) *needs a somewhat recognizable soundtrack for the Orchestra intro*
-New IP get 2nd slot. (Most likely Sucker Punch this year)
-That gets followed by a couple more exclusive titles. (GOW, GT, Detroit, Dreams, Uncharted, Days Gone)
-They reveal at least 1 Multiplatform game. (Let's assume DMC5)
-Third Party time. (COD, Destiny, Crash, RDR 2, Star Wars etc.)
-Japan time! (FFVII R and KH3 with release windows)
-They pretty much phased out the indie section and replaced it with PSVR game showcase. (SIE London's exclusive VR title that is hopefully a full version of London Heist)
-2nd party exclusives (Spider-Man, Death Stranding, etc.)
-One last reveal. (FromSoft's next game)
-One last thing. (Last of Us Part 2)

Boom, another well done E3. PS5 hype party begins next year.

Been to it both times 10/10 would go again. If you don't like loud noise and cheering tho you won't like it at least that's how my experiences were

FFVIIR. Not much else fits the bill

-New IP get 2nd slot. (Most likely Sucker Punch this year)

Yup, accompanied by a 10 minute gameplay demo.

-That gets followed by a couple more exclusive titles. (GOW, GT, Detroit, Dreams, Uncharted, Days Gone)

Days Gone gets another gameplay demo, the rest of the games get brief trailers and release dates

-They reveal at least 1 Multiplatform game. (Let's assume DMC5)

Let's not. Announced third-party games (i.e. Destiny 2) will have a large presence at Sony's show. There won't be enough time. Save this for TGS

-Third Party time. (COD, Destiny, Crash, RDR 2, Star Wars etc.)

See above

-SE's rump (FFVII R and KH3 with release windows)

FFVIIR opens the show, KH3 gets a gameplay demo and release date

-They pretty much phased out the indie section and replaced it with PSVR game showcase.

Yep

-2nd party exclusives (Spider-Man, Death Stranding, etc.)

Both of these games get full gameplay demos

-One last reveal. (FromSoft's next game)

Yep

-One last thing. (Last of Us Part 2)

Nope, GOW demo. TLOUII gameplay at PSX

Boom, another well done E3. PS5 hype party begins next year.
