I expect them to open with Horizon DLC, if they don't announce it by E3 I would assume they are going straight into the sequel.

No way they'll open with Horizon DLC. It's going to be a new huge announce or something already known ( but still huge like RDR , GoW or Spidey). They won't open the show with a DLC.

It'd be pretty lame to open a E3 press conference with DLC. PSX, fine, but the E3 press conference is the real deal.

Plenty of good exclusives for Sony to open with like Death Stranding, Spiderman, and TLOU Part II,

It would be so cool to open the event with Horizon story expansion similar to what ULL is.

2 of those games need to go away until they are a year out.

I really don't think it matters if they do but i also not seeing them opening with DLC .
Still at this point PSX is growing and could be as big as E3 for Sony .
TLOU is there biggest IP and we first saw part 2 there.

Holy shit I'm getting fucking hyped.
I've been watching E3 montages and sony's evolution of PlayStation as well.
Good god, I can't wait. E3 is truly the best time of the year!

Have you guys only seen the past two E3's or something? Sony has opened E3 in the past with a PS Vita indie showcase but Horizon's expansion isn't good enough?

Eh? Last three years were God of War, The Last Guardian and Destiny. I just can't get my head around thinking Horizon DLC will open an E3.

Horizon is a bigger deal than The Last Guardian.

I think it shows where expectations are when Horizon's expansion is treated as some B-show filler though.

It is, but its DLC isn't. Horizon DLC is somthing we know is coming, Sony's not gonna open with that in lieu of something massive (Destiny 2) or something brand new and/or surprising. I don't get why this is a hot topic.

If GG/Sony go with with a standalone DLC model like Uncharted 4 I could definitely see it opening the show.
Rost's revenge seeker mission out of the sacred lands would be fucking epic imo.

It has nothing to do with expectations of Horizon's expansion for us. They just wouldn't open E3 with it.

2011 - Uncharted 3
2012 - Beyond Two Souls
2013 - PS3 farewells before moving to PS4
2014 - Destiny
2015 - The Last Guardian
2016 - God of War
2017 - [Speculation] Destiny 2

I'm not sure why you think they'd open their show with DLC.

Listen, I don't think Horizon's expansion is even going to be ready to show at E3 but people in here scoffing at the idea of it opening the show as if Horizon wasn't the biggest exclusive game launch on PS4 is kind of laughable. If the expansion is a Blood & Wine/Lost Legacy type of production, it's a big time announcement for PS4.

Who can forget the juggernaut E3 opening of Beyond Two Souls and a PS3 montage video?

From will get the first announcement.

If they have 2 games to show they will be in the middle of the event with COD, CAPCOM and Battlefront.

No way they open with Destiny 2,that is getting a full reveal this week.

I have it on good authority (a dream i had) that Jak and Daxter was coming back with a new game in the vein of The Precursor Legacy and that it was made by a new team at ND led by Jason Rubin and Andy Gavin.
I wish... T_T

Destiny 2 had a full reveal at E3 2013 and they still opened with it at E3 2014.

It's getting a trailer + Sony exclusive announcements at E3 and considering they've put a lot of marketing dollars into the franchise you can be sure it'll have a strong presence at E3.

I mean it seems a bit odd to randomly bring them all back as a bonus with uncharted. Although only way it's happening is if they get another studio on it because ND ain't doing it

I'm personally getting real tired of this shit. I get that people really want to get hyped for a lineup, but by the time the conference rolls on, it will have been a year since these titles were announced. And I have a feeling that we won't be able to play some of these titles this year. I find myself getting hyped for hard release dates rather than announcements now. It doesn't help that many games in this generation were delayed past their initial release dates. But hey, gotta hype up the platform right?

If in this conference, Sony makes any new announcements without hard release dates, I'm honestly not getting hyped. I almost don't even want to see Sucker Punch's new game until they have a release date ready. And that goes for the other conferences too, I'm legit gonna keep tabs on this shit!

I wonder if they'll bring back Days gone after the lukewarm reaction ( I sure wasn't excited for that game)

More info on GOW and FF7R (need to see the rest of the crew in HD) would be nice.

Other than that I hope they have a few nice surprises, now that FFXV and Last Guardian is out, I don't really know what to look forward to.

KNACK 2 BABY LETS GO

This is actually the reason why they are doing that now (announcing without release dates). They want to avoid any potential delays after announcing the release dates to begin with, that is far more annoying imo. I'm all for them not mentioning release dates until a few months from release, as long as the game is coming out within a year or two of reveal. God of War, Spider-Man, Days Gone will all be out before the end of 2018.

Death Stranding is the only game that I don't see happening before 2019.

I know people hate it but it seriously doesn't bother me when Sony shows off a game at E3 that's not coming out in like 2 or 3 years. It only leaves me excited on what to look forward to in the future. Plus, we get PS4 exclusives every year mostly in the first half and summer. Then in the second we have multiplatform games and Microsoft exclusives. Every year they're so many games this gen now.
