Reuters clarified. Chaffetz has only invited Comey, Comey has yet to confirm he will testify.

Ouch, how Bomb keeps bombing.

Also I added quotes around impeached because it only ever got through the house, he was acquitted in the Senate in February of the following year. Hence hurr durr Clinton served until the end of his term.

Also the GOP lost 5 seats in 1998 when they were expected to gain 30.

I was born in 1996 and I fucking know this, refreshed my memory using google lol.

Won't the Republicans just ask him stupid questions over and over again that try to make Trump not look bad and rather someone or something else. The last one was so annoying except one Democrat guy.

Probably, but I can imagine Trumpy's tweets about the event will make it worthwhile.

And I just want to see how the Repub's treat Comey and what his demeanour will be like.

One thing about the public hearing to take note of.

Pay attention to what questions Chaffetz and other GOP members will be asking. House GOP won't turn on Trump. They'll try and make this an indictment of Comey.

Comey likely won't accept the House invite.

Wasn't this supposed to be the one competent guy within Trump's lot of crazies?

Seems like they are back to zero. Every single one is a joke.

Thought I'd read somewhere that him as National Security Advisor didn't mean he was super plugged into CIA/NSA/FBI intel etc.

How do you figure he does? No facts no nothing except for speculation. You really think if the FBI and CIA knew that Trump and Russia were in bed together that Trump wouldn't have already been squashed? It wouldn't be a wait and see approach. It would be instantly handled. Can you even fathom if that was true?

It's not speculation if the Republicans themselves are saying Trump wasn't serious.

You are aware that the Clinton impeachment was based on two charges right? Perjury and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE???

You're out of your league here and your talking points from reddit's trump page are too outdated for such a fast moving story.

Why are you arguing with Bomb? ESPECIALLY about Clinton.

Isn't there more evidence that Bill Clinton is a rapist than Donald Trump is a racist bigot?

Edit. Beaten like an imaginary kid in pizza basement.

Trump is a dolt. He speaks before thinking. Just because he says something stupid doesn't mean hes colluding with Putin.

Did I typed out about Mother Russia? Look hard at the title of the thread. Not too long ago Republicans admitted Trump wasn't serious about telling Comey to drop the Flynn case.

McMaster's background has basically nothing to do with intelligence: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._R._McMaster

This explains that.

Trumps background hasn't either, if you know what I mean.

How the fuck are reporters so bad at this? If someone says "it's not accurate" then ask what part? How? Why?

I don't think they're allowed to answer, since it's classified? At least not specifically? That irony

They should ask Trump, he would tell em

LOL. Comey has nothing. He's just a big dumb troll wanting to stay relevant that both parties wanted gone long ago.

Say what you want about Comey, but he's not a troll trying to stay relevant. His testimony is going to be big league stuff and isn't something to laugh about. Especially since the GOP is going to go after him about why he didn't reveal this.

And they'll fail.

My respect for Comey started the day the House Intell Committee made hay from finely spun gold over what was essentially a gift wrapped present handed to them during Comey's press conference announcing that while Clinton was innocent that she had been extremely careless.

The GOP went after Comey for not prosecuting, and he wasn't having any of it. They can try, but they aren't going to succeed.
