Because the Nintendo die hard fans have driven me bonkers post Switch launch here on GAF, to me they've become unbearable honestly... what with their constant port-begging and deluded expectations and wanting to shove down the Switch down everyones throat.

Yeah same. I know I wouldn't buy another Sony handheld. Just as Nintendo are combining their handheld and console divisions due to stretched workloads, Sony are looking to split them? Seriously fire that person.

The problem is the UI was atrocious (the icons of apps where circles, cropping the 4th borders, for some reason), the OS was atrocious ( did not allow multiple apps running at the same time), the battery life was atrocious (if you forget to shutdown, the next time the battery will be empty), the game line was atrocious, the price of the memory expansions was atrocious. It was bad, expensive, dumb, greedy. I can continue.

I have a PS4, so I don't hate Sony, when they are right, they are right. But handhelds, no please, my poor soul would not tolerate another abomination from Sony.

What is "cropping the forth border". Also Vita's OS works just like PS4's as far as running multiple apps is concerned, so I don't know what you are talking about.

They made a hybrid with their greatest strength, which is in the handheld sector. Sony's greatest strength is in consoles. You aren't making a handheld with the power of a PS4 and an even remotely acceptable battery life. Most of Sony's main studios don't want to work on underpowered hardware. This was shown all the way back with the PSP when most of Sony's IP's were outsourced with a few exceptions like Gran Turismo and HSG. You also have another issue where much of Sony's catalog isn't necessarily portable friendly like many of Nintendo's IP's are.
