Just to let everyone know I've been to every experience and they always end up letting everyone in. Of course securing a ticket is still safest though.

Sorry but this is not true in some of the more crowded theaters. The people who have the second tier "waitlist" tickets have to wait to get in, and in SF a bunch couldn't get in as the theater basically got packed.

Wasn't the case at mine. They were always super packed and had to turn some folks away. Nobody who got tickets as far as I can tell, though.

My first year, they were going to turn away a bunch of people at Columbus because they didn't realize they had an extra box of codes. I had to start texting my friends at the front of the wait list pictures of the 60% empty theater to show the people in line that they absolutely weren't even close to max capacity.

Been super cautious with getting tickets each year because of it; but it usually seems fine.

I'd try to go to Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft's and maybe a few of the other presentations.

It might be tough since (at the theater I went to in previous years) they sit at a table right next to the doorway and you are supposed to stop by them before you enter. You might be able to pull it off if you're really shifty though.

Yup, our theater had a pretty slow moving line that checked each person's ticket, and I believe there was somebody at the door, too.

The first one I went to had empty seats at first, but during the opening (while the broadcast was cutting out) they were still letting in people on the waitlist and one of my friends was unable to get in because it hit "capacity".

It could be injected into the URL to push people off the server, you will see it in your URL, don't refresh that, it's not going to take you anywhere.
