PlayStation E3 Experience 2017: Live in Theaters June 12

To be a little positive, you know there's one guy who's gonna find this thread as the site finally works and think "fuck I am so late" and will snag some tickets.

Aside from the fact that over the years the theaters available have gone down from 5 to 3 to 2 I think. My choices are to drive 1.5 hours or 2 hours in either direction and now this site won't even let me get a ticket.

Damn, man. That sucks. I wasn't sure if the theater count went down but it kind of seemed like it. I'm sorry to hear that. I drove 2 and a half hours the past three years but I had friends where I'd go so I'd make a trip out of it.

I'm going to the one in Chicago this year so it's right in my neighborhood but, of course, the tickets are impossible to secure... It's always something.

Damn over two hours and the shit still hasn't worked? Trying to book tickets but I'm at work so I'm not gonna be able to look again for another two hours.

Oh well, maybe next year.

Y'all should just stop reloading the page, close the tab, and go about the rest of your day. Trust me, you still won't be able to get tickets when you check again in a few hours.

So, what's everyone's actual reason of wanting to go to this? (Legitimately curious)

I've been since they started it, and they're always a blast. It's great to hang out with a bunch of awesome PlayStation fans. The atmosphere has always been awesome, and you can't imagine how loud the crowd got when FF7 showed up.

Also, free PS Store shit.

Watching E3 conferences with a crowd has been a consistently awesome experience, evne during shit shows like 2014. Seeing the 2015 TLG-FF7-Shenmue 3 in a theater surrounded by people losing their collective shits is one of my fondest memories in this hobby, and I don't even care about any of those games.

Nothing to do on a Monday night, might as well go to a theater to watch
I like the crowd reactions x freebies

Yeah, i enjoyed the line at 42nd Street last year. I had a ton of fun in front of the line with a group of people while we spoke about other conferences while we watched them together. It was pretty fun.

Also:
Freebie Counter: 2

Yeah, the crowd in NY was pretty fun actually. But hey, it's all about the memories right?

Well if anyone's looking for a website job, I'm sure Gofobo will be hiring within the next couple of days.

I have a feeling that Gofobo just took themselves offline. They have it wrong every step along the way, they should have never hosted this, they should be getting out in front of it and they should be trying to fix it. This is what we in the IT industry call a "job creating event."

Went last year for the first time and really enjoyed it, huge theater with lots of energy from the attendees and great quality stream. The $20.00 in free PSN credit between my spouse and I was nice too, not a far drive for so it's worth it for that alone. We watch the press conferences every year regardless, may as well get something out of it.

This truly is the Sony experience: The promise of fun, and then extravagant rage inducing waits.

Hahahahaha, painfully true.

I've gone every year and I plan to do it every year until I totally give up on gaming. It's so incredibly exciting. The anticipation, the release, the feeling of community -- none of it matches actually going to the theater for this (outside of being at the actual show).

Listening to the crowd scream in disbelief and astonishment as the "Big 3" were announced two years ago. Hell, standing up with the crowd and exclaiming myself!

It feels incredible. It's definitely a live sports vs. televised sports situation. Watching at home has plenty of benefits, but there's nothing like being there. (Or at least in a theater ;P)

Actually, they filed filed for bankruptcy. They're closing up shop for good. Twitter account is getting deleted in 20 minutes.

I have a friend that works at a place that sometimes does some nondescript contract work for Gofobo. That's what he told me.

Who would do that?
