Sony E3 Conference confirmed for usual time (Monday 6pm PT)

With how quiet Sony seems to be (even relative to last year), I hope it's 90 minutes long.

Edit: Even this thread is quieter than usual I feel. I suppose that speaks to MS just having a lot on stake for their conference this year that the MS E3 thread is zipping by.

Fair enough. Shitty observation by me. Guess I got confused with the recent uptick in conversations in that thread. Suppose we'll see the same come Monday morning when US has that 6-9 hour wait until Sonys conference 😥
 
I can never understand the mentality of wanting things to get leaked to build hype, rather than be surprised and be hyped by seeing games you're genuinely excited by cause you had no idea it was coming.

They're just whipping each other into a frenzy over anything and nothing.... 1Gb of Ram freed, Jez "rumors" from Windows Central, some dug up italian Amazon SE listings, a Hype train (which are supposed to be banned)...

The Sony Ninjas have been incredibly efficient this year, but we also miss Demonite, Shinobi and to some degree Verendus as well.
The amount of games to be presented and dated alone has me hyped, the surprises will be the cherry on top.

I've been in there three times each time it was Scorpio so I rather our low key game thread honestly

Yeah, that is part of it too. All the Sony insiders have left for one reason or another. If Demonite or Gopher came in and posted something, the hype would increase even more.

That one mod did drop a hint though. M0dus? He said something about needing a diaper.

We got last guardian out of nowhere and got it in fall of 16.

Granted GOW hasn't had a decade of dev time but GOW looked really polished and could easily see it by the end of the year. Devs have to see the success of fallout 4 and GOW would have a year and half since it's annoucnement.

Something tells me days gone needs the extra dev time since the devs are primarily known for portable games and may need a little more time due to the scope.

There has been multiple rumors about Xbox E3 this year, while Sony barely had any. Plus ifc having a new console helps.
 
With GoW and Spider-man have length time slots.

I'd have to imagine a release date is set and that will be a start in the marketing push.

They'll talk about what went into the game etc.

I'm expecting some lengthy demos of both.
 
damn even Greg Miller is starting to believe Spider-Man might be coming sooner than initially expected

Having something similar to Jan-Apr2017 coming up and announced at E3 when it comes to Japanese output would be enough for me to be hyped the rest of the year for what's coming in 2018.
SMT HD would steal my heart.
 
Realllly hope they finally announce PS1 digital games playable on PS4.

Still can't figure out why that's not a reality already.
 
I saw a tweet somewhere unable to remember from whom, person who tweeted sounded like he has seen spiderman gameplay and that it looked out of this world. The wait for Monday is painful!

Well, 2015 was legendary. Outside of Half Life 3+ Warcraft/ WoW 2+ Suikoden 6 I don't see how it could ever be topped.

This being said, I have a good feeling for this year that it could be at or near 2016 level, and that was one amazing conference imo.

- Sony cleared a ton of business data beforehand with the 2 interviews, hinting at an all game presentation
- Big push on GoW, Spider-Man, GTS and Days Gone, which tells me they aren't far off.
- WWS has been ultra quiet, unusually so even, which makes me wonder if they have something quite special and really want to surprise

Can't wait for Monday :)

What about E3 2016? As a diehard fan of God of War, 2016 blew me away from the get go! Can't wait to find out if Sony can keep us entertained as much as they did in past couple of E3s!
 
Sony damn near has too many games. We need release dates for:
1. Gran Turismo Sport
2. Days Gone
3. Detroit
4. Spider-Man
5. God Of War

(I'm assuming that Dreams is cancelled, too early for The Last Of Us Part II, & they already said Death Stranding won't be there.)

Why is Dreams cancelled exactly...because it's different?
 
In all honesty though, I think there is a better chance of seeing something for KHIII (and for that matter MVC:I) at D23 in July. They literally have a conference /presentation for videogames.
