We know it is open world but the western part was based on nothing. Just speculation.

Was based on Artwork published.

I think Detroit for fall isn't unreasonable. A game like Detroit won't clash with games like CoD and Battlefront anyway.

I'd love this. I'm ready for a new David Cage game. Trying to replay Heavy Rain on PS4 didn't work out. Hard to replay those kinds of games.

Hopefully, we'll see a nice set of Sony exclusives sprinkled out both towards the end of 2017 and early 2018. It always gets on my bad side how it does feel like Sony usually doesn't announce any exclusive titles towards the end of the year and how they usually put it on the multiplatform games to pull them through (although when we get to some of the exclusives, they do pay off sometimes).

Still, next Monday can't come soon enough.

My own prediction for the show, probably a bit on the optimist side maybe

More like a bit on the "you're out of your mind side." Everyone knows KH3 can't be seen again until it's handed off to Tabata in three years. Everything else looks good though.

Ok, didn't know it was debunked.

The image is for a VR game by London Studio that was in development alongside London Heist and the other VRWorld games, but was supposedly cancelled. I'm not sure where the rumors that its Sucker Punch related came from.

Those multi platform titles eat up everything else though. Why bother launching exclusives there when they can thrive better at other points in the year. There's a few exceptions to that, but Sony has been playing it smart imo.

"Happy team!"

Detroit news incoming?

I could see them putting a mid/late July date on Detroit, meaning this could be them going gold? Game feels like it's been in development forever but has slipped through the marketing cracks.

That's what does kill my argument a bit, I'll concede that. While Sony does rely on the multiplatform games to pull them through, the ones they do have do tend to have those "Special Exclusives" like with Destiny. In that regards alone, they know how to play the game well enough, but I'd be lying if I said that it didn't bother me. I just want to see some nice games that are Sony Exclusive that will be coming this year.

It does feel like one big reason that people say "SONY WINS!" is mainly due to the whole "SUPER BIG GAME!!!" that we see once and then we don't see years later. Latest examples of that would be the FF7 remake, KH3, and (unless if Kojima proves me wrong next week) Death Stranding. I'd also say Shenmue 3, but I feel like we might still see it in spite of it getting delayed. Now, there's nothing wrong with hyping the crowd up for greatness, but I feel like that when you step back and look at it as a whole, you wonder if they announced it too soon. Again though, nothing wrong with how Sony does their conferences, but they always do those one or two things that just push my buttons in the wrong way.

Eh, stuff like God of War and Spider-Man, which I think were the biggest announcements from last year, we will be out sooner rather than later.

That's certainly the most likely explanation, and indeed I'm looking forward to seeing more of the title. On the other hand, I expect most teams would also look this happy and relaxed if they were told that excessive crunch time was unacceptable and they were just going to skip E3 this year and let everyone spend a few days with their family. I just don't see the official Twitter account joining in the celebration if that were the case. ;-)

Hot take

While CTR would be very cool, I´d rather have PS All Stars Racing.
Adventure mode and boost mechanics similar to CTR, Crash as a guest character.

I think if one of those happens, the other won´t. CTR remake is the most likely to happen.

If the pre-orders for Crash have been strong, and I certainly suspect they have been, then it would make sense for them to go ahead and greenlight CTR. People have been begging for that ever since they the collection was announced. Although I certainly do hope they go 60fps for it.

Where is Resident Evil 2 Remake??

I really hope SP sticks to their super hero roots for the new IP.

The western rumour had me worried. :|

I´ve seen space thrown around more than western.

Whatever it is I´m sure it will at least look great SS and First Light already did and rumours are that the first Death Stranding trailer used their engine.

Dreams really needs to be out much sooner then that, same with Detroit.

Sony isn't too keen on mid-summer games, so I think fall 2018 for spider-man.

I think dreams will have a long beta and they wouldn´t launch along FROM´s or GOW.
May/June have been good months for super hero based games, Batman and Injustice.
I think Detroit would fit well in August but I really doubt it launches this year. It definitely needs a quieter month to shine imo.

That´s my thought on those.

I don't see any direct rivals for Dreams except.. Project Spark. It needs to release when it's fully baked and promoted.

Safe Bet: CTR Remake
Dark Horse: Crash PS2 Games release on PS4
Risky Bet: Crash 4 by Vicarious Visions
Far Fetched: Crash 4 By Naughty Dog

These are all great...

Ctr has been requested since the collection was announced so it getting an hd remix is highly welcomed

Ps2 crash games seem likely to happen as well

Crash 4 by VV would indicate ps4 preorders were well above expectations following it availability, (i preordered mine as soon as it became available on psn, the countdown is driving me crazy lol)

This thread, so hype.

Who needs a visual representation of a hype train when they can just ride this thread? It's easy to get hyped for Sony because they always have so many diverse games in the pipe. Part of what keeps me coming back to them every generation.

Watch KH3 be at Microsofts conference rather than Sonys. In fact, I do think a couple of bigger JP titles might show up in that conference instead (maybe even DMC5?) while Sony goes for a select few big JP title announcements (e.g. Monster Hunter).

I don't think anyone has marketing for KH3 yet either, so maybe both conferences if it's coming out soon?

I agree in thinking that at least one of KH3 and/or FF7R will be there at the Sony conference.

I believe.

That's what everyone thought until yesterday and now with little random tidbits of info flurrying in like Epcars tweet and nomura being in LA for the concerts but not going to e3 is making everyone think it's very possible we won't see either of them.
