You can be confident in a rumour though. That's why he said unless they're changing it. It's not official until they announce it and should be treated as a rumour up to that point.

Not really. It's a steep price for a Jaguar/Polaris console.

They've got the power increase that a year+ delay affords them. In no way does it warrant a price 100$ above the launch price of the Pro last year.

I hear all this "you don't understand who Scorpio is marketed at" talk but the pro is selling at a 20% rate of all current PS4 sales at $399. If that's the case what hope does Scorpio have at $499? Devs aren't going to waste time on a 200k install base of scorpios.

I agree the scorpios performance warrants its price that still doesn't mean it's going to sell.

They're not trying to sell more systems and make more money from their games and services though. They're just trying to change the mindset!

I'm not going to call for somebody with access to insider information on a regular basis to be banned, but Geoff will at least owe an explanation if he is wrong, because it would look like manufactured hype from somebody who doesn't even collect a paycheck from the company.

Microsoft has data as to how many people that actually is.
