That's what this whole thread was about. Who to believe. Why am I the guiltiest one?
Because you're in here still insinuating he was trying to incite something.

It wasn't smart of him to post this today. This won't improve his relationship with MS. Plus he went after developers (Luke Smith). How is that smart?A backhanded apology and continued shit talking. Don't think this is really what the thread was reopened for.
Microsoft really should have excluded the UHD Blu-ray player like Sony. Sure there are some that will use it, but I feel like the majority will not. Almost everyone I know only streams their movies these days. This could have lowered the cost at least by $50 I think.

If they are trying to make it an important part of a media center, including it is a big plus. Some don't want both a console and a separate player as it's annoying clutter. And hard to have the one s have 4k playback and remove it from a higher tier product.
Vs after it's announced? Lol. A scoop is a scoop. He obviously weighed the pros and cons and the scoop won out.It wasn't smart of him to post this today. This won't improve his relationship with MS. Plus he went after developers (Luke Smith). How is that smart?
But it definitely made for more entertaining E3. So glad he did![]()
Just $600
I don't "like" it but I can live with it.
I will be pre-ordering

Well they don't have a time machine do they? It doesn't make sense for them not to maintain feature parity with an older system. The One S should have excluded it as well. The majority will never use it to play Blu-ray movies.

I will clarify then. I'm not.sorry for misunderstanding?

"In this fight you destroyed Microsoft."
You're a joke.
I have to take the HUGE fucking L, served with a side of crow, topped off with a glass of shut the hell up.

The only thing I found odd about the whole thing was I've never seen him to "leak" anything before.
I don't know if it was a planned move to lessen the impact of the price announcement. If it was I think it was pretty worthless to do it mere hours before the reveal. Should have done it a week ago.
you guys really just need to stop being on forums so much and go and actually play some video games.I think we all owe Geoff an apology.
It was definitely smart, especially since he probably did his due diligence before unleashing this info. He likely increased the coverage of his youtube platform from this alone amd further establishes his status as a very credible industry journalist. So big victory for him.
Luke Smith went after Geoff's credibility with his post. Any response from Geoff is fair play.
Geoff Keighley
@thislukesmith See you tomorrow bro

So how bad is the crow stock situation?
Flying off the shelves.
Jesus. He still hasn't gotten rid of his Xbox fanboy angle since the 1up days

yep same here

Opening this back up for a bit for anyone who'd like to, say, follow up on any of their emotionally charged console war cognitive dissonance Keighley shit-talking from earlier? ;b
Skepticism's encouraged, and you're under no obligation to believe someone's tweet in and of itself, but Geoff's a class act, y'know? Memes or otherwise. And he's part of the community here too, and waded through a lot of vitriol directed at him and his professional credibility to personally confirm his statement in here.
You were waiting to be surprised at $499?Tyler, the question is : to what end? I think we know the answer to that . It's not like we were going to get a falsified price directly from Microsoft a mere 5 hours later. Many of us here in the community huddle together awaiting to be surprised so it's shitty when an amateur PR stunt takes away from that.
He may be nice, but his marketing schemes compounded with his selective brown-nosing does nothing for his credibility.
Going in on Luke Smith. Doritos pope still my guy. Bonus points for hiring bosman for the game awards.

Please share....I apologize and take what I said back.
I'll eat my crow now

At least he softened his stance on DLC, micro transactions, and new peripherals being "next gen rape time"
