If it's Bluepoint (speculation of course), then it's a remake. Their website distinguishes between all their previous games as remasters and what they are working on right now as a remake.

Can u link their website? Can't find anything related to a remake.

An actual remake of SOTC would be kind of a weird announcement to me. Obviously, it's getting hype in this thread and I'd love to play it, but it just doesn't seem like it would generate the hype and sales of, say, an RE2 or FF7 remake. It would just be a really bizarre announcement to me. Not sure what to make of all this.

Of course it won't be as big as those two, but it doesn't mean we can't have more than 1, they could even have a little Remake chunk. And a SoTC Remake would make plenty happy too, it's a very much loved game.

No everything have to make a lot of money.

With roots in original development, our team has remastered award-winning PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 classics in high(er) definition for leading consoles (God of War Collection, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Flower, Gravity Rush Remastered, Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection). We also provided our expertise to co-development efforts on Sony's PlayStation All-Stars (developed on the Bluepoint Engine) and Respawn's Titanfall.

We are passionately at work remaking a classic for current-gen game systems, growing our capabilities as a team and raising the bar for what fans anticipate from us.

Guys, I am getting scared that Sucker Punch might not show up and I don't like this feeling. Someone reassure me.
They won't show up...

There, don't expect them there, if they are, pleasant surprise.

Good chance Sucker Punch and Dreams are no shows. These games seem to be taking forever this gen.

If Sony can give stage time to indies they can give stage time to one of the most beloved game of all time.

OMG WE CRACKED THE CODE THAT'S WHAT BLUEPOINT IS WORKING ON. I thought it was Shenmue or Sly this entire time, wow.

as much as i love SotC

i don't want a sequel, the game is a masterpiece and don't need to be ruined by a shitty sequel, we saw how awful the last guardian is, don't ruin SotC, leave it the way it is

i'm okay with a remastered though

If SOCOM happens, and if it's actually good, that'd be pretty damn nice.

Sony has completely dropped making MP games, and they tried pretty hard last gen.

All they need is SOCOM. It's all they need. It may not set the world on fire, but in a world where Rainbow 6 Siege has done incredibly well, SOCOM can absolutely thrive because there is a huge void left in that tactical round based market.

LoU MP is also the bomb

Just wait for Sucker Punch at PSX.
Then if they do show up tonight on stage, you can be pleasantly surprised. lol

Gee, that isn't generalizing at all.

Yea aside from Uncharted and Tlou I think Sony is kinda missing some MP focused games.

Wtf. TLG was great.

And if they can make new colossi, then a sequel/reimagining is absolutely fine with me.

It doesnt need to be a direct sequel, and they can do a lot with current tech, both with gameplay and art design.

And there is a HUGE group of people whove never played the original.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times but is the conference at 5pm PST or 6pm PST? Thread title here says 6pm but the stickied e3 general info thread says 5pm.

Uh, isn't the whole point of making games to make money, though? A fully fledged remake would have to be a costly endeavor, so surely Sony would only approve it believing they'd make a profit in the end? I suppose they believe they will with this one. I don't think they approved this as a passion project.

Well, if they've invested in a full fledged remake, then of course it makes sense to give it screen time. What I was saying was that I thought it was odd that Sony would invest into a remake of it in the first place. Just seems strange and out of left field. A sequel would be even more so to me, considering the game's story is a complete one.

6pm is presser start, 5pm they Playstation have been hinting some early game previews or reveals in that first hour. So best bet is to tune at 5pm to see whats going on.

Also, guys, I'm not arguing against this or saying I don't want. I'm just saying I think this a weird announcement, and I'm surprised/confused that it exists. If it's real, I'll want to play it as much as any of you, believe me.
