What did you fucking think of the fucking Beyond Good & Evil 2 trailer?

BG&E2 is whatever Ancel wants it to be, he looked genuinely excited about this so I wouldn't be concerned about direction or whatever. Can he ship it though? lol

It will be 15+ years when the sequel lands, do you expect a game that is similar to the first? It's no like it has aged very well, it's a very restrictive stealth game with a tiny 'open world'.

Not what I expected, but I'll take it.

I love the world of Beyond Good and Evil, I'll happily take any game that lets me explore it.

That BGE2 trailer was possibly the best trailer I've ever seen....I was spellbound.

I'm talking Mass Effect 2 launch trailer levels of amazing.

Yeah it was fantastic.

But the lack of Jade is really bringing me down to realistic hype after a decade of waiting specifically for her.

Glad to see it's not completely dead yet, but wow, this is pretty far from the first game game as they could get. It also doesn't inspire a lot of confidence on how much is actually done at this point when all they have to show is a flash CG trailer and a lot of motion comic concept art.

As a huge Ancel stan it was kind of painful to watch him get emotional about something that, to me, completely misses the point.

Whodathunk a Rabbids game would look way more appealing than BG&E 2?

The strengths of Beyond Good & Evil was in it's super interesting world and characters, the coexisting of anthropomorphic animals and humans within a dark story.

The gameplay was barebones as fuck. They could do anything in the same universe and it would be a worthy successor.

Who played this and thought it needed edgy characters, swearing and online functionality?

And who finished the game and then thought "Hey let's not wrap up these loose ends"...

He was probably crying on stage because they wouldn't let him make a proper sequel.

As someone who has never played the first, this trailer didn't do anything for me. Nice cinematics, but that's it. Is it returning characters that people are excited about? The space travel? There wasn't gameplay, so that can't be it. The prospects of it finally coming out?

Ugh, "online playground" single-handedly took this from game I was super hyped about and likely announcement of the show to something I likely wouldn't even buy if it means what it sounds like. Like... why?

I wonder if "Dakini" (the woman with the green eyes at the end of the trailer) is Jade's mother. I just hope this is a prequel that leades into the first game and not just an event in the past that has no tie in to jade.

Also I like the design for the girl with the afro, hopefully she's the charcater you control :D

I'm interpreting "online playground" as space/ cities being online hubs but the normal missions that take place in isolated maps being single player or co-op only.

Laura Kate Dale saying the same source that gave her the Rabbids info months ago told her that BG&E2 is Switch exclusive for a year.

BG&E and online aren't things I want to hear together. Ubisoft needs to give it a rest with the shared world/online stuff. Not every game needs to be that. Especially BG&E of all things.

-Online playground
-prequel, even though the first game ended on a huge cliffhanger and the fans have been asking for the continuation of the story

Who asked for this version of BG&E2?

Yeah, honestly. Now that I think about it there was a lot of monkey's paw elements to the reveals.

Pirate game and the multiplayer, the space game and the toys, and BG&E being an online prequel.

I know when I think of "Beyond Good and Evil" I think of getting into shootouts with cops screaming "MOTHERFUCKKEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRS!"
