So I was right, there is a little bit of gameplay you can see while the guy is talking about the online. Apparently they are playing as the monkey from the video, flying around in some space city or something.

And yes, he said you can play solo or with friends.

I was wondering if she was still standing by the rumour. My stance hasn't changed (that is, I place exactly zero stock in it), but I hope for her sake that it doesn't blow up in her face. Her credibility as far as software is concerned is already very spotty and continually reinforcing that Nintendo has wrapped itself around BG&E2 to some extent -- the details of which have fundamentally changed no less than twice and never been corroborated by anybody else -- only for it to be bogus could do further, potentially irreversible damage.

Kudos on the amazing CG trailer but....

The slow realisation of what this game actually is will probably poison the huge amount of love for it. Why does EVERY Ubisoft game need to be an online playground now? I really hope it'll still have a strong narrative, and still be a Zelda style action adventure but its sounding more and more unlikely....

Real talk - The universe & tone were the reasons Beyond Good & Evil was fantastic, and thus a sequel that mainly retains those elements is totally fine. Arguably preferable.

Loved the trailer, the best I've seen during the show this year, but a prequel without Jade and an online focus is a big concern right now. It was probably naive to think Ubi would let Ancel do a tight, single player focused game on a presumably big budget.

This is where I am right now given that I loved the trailer (the tone was perfectly fine) and couldn't believe it was happening as I was watching it. I'm feeling all over the place.
