In fact, this trailer was very lighthearted compared to the dark tone of the original.

It's great that the trailer went all out in production values, but I do worry that people who see it will expect the final game to look like a CGI movie, but kudos to Ancel and the team if they deliver.

Still, it's hard to get excited until I see actual gameplay, I felt like this about Shenmue 3 even though the last two are some of my favourite games of all time. But I'm intrigued at the shift in tone nonetheless, even though it's not going to be the same kind of atmosphere (i.e. a game you could play with family) as the first.

I believe the Switch exclusive deal, otherwise they'd have an ending screen with the platforms. Well, it's that or Sony, because both still have a conference coming and that's the only reason why they would keep schtum on it.
