Now for a couple weeks of Republicans feigning shock at the culture they helped cultivate. Not like dissonance is anything new for them, though.

In a lot of districts that simply doesn't work anymore. The system is rigged and people are starting to lash out. They will continue to lash out more as Trump's presidency continues.

But you know minorities are already shot in the streets by police with little to no consequences and/or sent to prison or jail at a much higher rate than any other group, right?

It's not on that scale, but, this is also beyond simple discrimination. Discrimination being a core feature of American values does greatly facilitate the shootings and imprisonment against minorities, though. Along with the associated reality that society makes it harder for a minority to recover from those situations vs. whites.

Trump isn't particularly good at building support from tragedy. Right off the bat his team was out there spreading lies about some guy asking parties or whatever and trying to pin the blame on the Democrat party.

And nobody was seriously injured, they caught the guy, alive, and he's an old white guy.

Seems like this won't really change anything. The Russian investigation doesn't magically go away. The healthcare fight isn't going away. Nothing is really changing beyond a day or two of news.

Going on shooting sprees won't help there, sorry. And I get the concept of gerrymandering, that's why protesting and strengthening your own communities is important. And voting in the midterms. I'm really sorry, but if I look at historical data of U.S. midterms, it seems to me as if liberals and minorities just don't vote there. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this IS an opportunity you guys have. USE it. Or please just teach me about why you're not able to.
