Lol at Coutinho's squad photo:

This levels the field the somewhat, though I agree that PL clubs shouldn't be able to SELL after the window closes either.

Not sure if it's possible to prevent anybody from selling players while others(in other leagues) can buy, specially with all the clauses and whatnot.

Can't wait for Wenger to wish the window was still open when we inevitably start next season unprepared and get hammered by a top team.

Jamie Vardy on rejecting Arsenal: "I never regret anything I've chosen to do. I'm a bit of a psychic, I could see the downfall they are on."
:lol

Sounds like Coutinho will be back in the starting XI sooner rather than later which is great news. Klopp says he was tempted to throw him back in straight away cos he looked good in training, but he'll manage his minutes at the start cos of his injury.

Could be a pretty alright bench on Saturday: Milner, Ox, Coutinho and Sturridge.

Man U and Man C among 5 to vote against moving transfer deadline. Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea & Liverpool among 14 in favour. 1 club abstained.
What a shock we'd vote in favour. Have less time to do no business. Suits our cunt board to a t.

What a nob

Truthful but a total nob. Lass loves herself too.

I've only just now calmed down after seeing Gazidis claim, with a straight face, that we had a good transfer window.

Wait, no, still not calm. I want him to have a heart attack as soon as possible. Worthless piece of fucking shit.

When it was put to Vardy that he would also have an FA Cup winners’ medal if he had joined Arsenal, the 30-year-old replied: “But it weren’t the Premier League was it?"

fucking hell lad

Next years Prem is going to be fucked.
I imagine the leagues are also going to start working on introducing a winter break soon to accomodate the Qatar world cup. Seems complicated to go from nothing to a (probably) 2 months break in the middle of the season.
I feel it's gonne be fucked for a while.

I fucking hate the idea of a winter break. It's the best time of the year when it comes to football.
Doesn't have to interfere with Xmas and new year. Start it on the 5th of jan or some shit.

Isn't the pl the only major league without one.

"Hey Frank, get these players that have been playing Allardyce football to play flawless, Ajax total football within 5 games or you're sacked"

I'm against any kind of break tbh. I keep seeing people talk about how the winter break, or lack thereof, is why PL clubs are doing badly in european competitions but I think that's nonsense. The PL clubs are doing badly cos they're shit compared to the top teams in the other leagues. The absence of a winter break didn't seem to affect any of the top PL clubs from 05-09.

To have players before the season begins so that coaches can plan better. However, it won't mean much because the other transfer windows remain open and players can still leave. It's going to be chaotic.

At least Chelsea board will try to be more proactive now.

Yea, that's what I don't get. I thought the drama was because players were trying to engineer exits after the season had started.

Where was this talk of a winter break when English teams were consistently getting to finals and semi-finals.

These things are cyclical.
