At least the statues are on-point.I just watched the CE unboxing video and yikes that looks bad. Those infinity stones look like plastic Easter eggs that have candy in them. Guess I'll just buy the thing digitally.

Just to confirm, MvC:I doesn't have a mode where two players can play per team, correct?
Didn't Capcom produce SFxT where you could do that? Wasn't it "successfully done", then? Would it have been super difficult to have a casual mode like this? And I don't mean like dramatic battle in SF Alpha 3. Otherwise, I still don't understand the utility of going back to 2v2 in 2017. (Not to mention the lack of the assists even in favor of the gems....I can't even...I can't even talk about it.)
I'm not trying to be negative or bust anyone's hype, but I just don't understand. Maybe that's a question that Capcom has already addressed, but I haven't seen anything explicitly about it following the game all these months.
I'll be holding out to get this game until December though. I just need some time to feel it out and just observe from afar for just a second. I honestly would feel disingenuous just buying it with my reservations about the entire game rollout. I love Capcom, and they gave me X-men: Children of the Atom and every important iteration thereafter. I even like this game a bit more now, but I just can't buy it day one.
You seem to be thinking that the assist removal and 2v2 is some kind of downgrade. After playing it for a weekend, it's not.

Which is where one of capcom's biggest struggles lie. They wan't to be AAA but they're not and can't seem to accept that fact. Even something like RE7 is small time when compared in-scope and budget to mostly all AAA houses. Especially Square which seems to be the biggest in third party in Japan.
Hmm should I double dip? Prepurchased a key for $30 on pc ... is there crossplay?
If PS4 copy leaks early enough in the city ...
I haven't played the game, so it's only my opinion from every single video I've seen, but I do think it's 100% a downgrade. I may be wrong, but that's what I believe.
It's a different game, thats the simplest awnser. Just because its one less member doesnt mean its downgraded, its just different. Just like 3 members was different back in the day from 2 members going from XMvSF, MSHvSF and MvC to MVC2.
They made the game around it being 2 member teams, they didnt just take MvC3, remove one member and assists and went "welp theres the game!". its this part that people dont seem to understand.
I'd be surprised if it sold that little after 18 months.
Thank you for your thoughts.
Damn didn't know Yipes is moving to the west coast. Bum just said it on stream.
East Coast slowly dying.

kinda off topic but is are they gonna have this on the pro tour or no?

He said so at NLBC last night. Moving to Norcal. Taking MvCI seriously.
Why NorCal?
Exactly my thoughts. Being able to tag out of anything, anywhere, anytime, for free no less, is incredible. And then add in what the gems can do for specific teams...the possibilities will be insane.Go check out some of Max's vids. The free tag + stone mechanic make the game arguably the most insane and complex Marvel game yet even with 2 characters and no assists. I'm personally very excited just based on what I've seen.
you guys reckon many known pros will be at CEOtaku? It seems to be mostly a anime tournament, but its also the first "proper" MvCI tournament I believe.
It's a offshoot from actual CEO right? And that one is pretty big.
Socal Regional is happening launch week.
If you're referring to my posts, they aren't concern trolling.Yeah the posts reek of concern trolling.
There have been numerous discussions on the tag system in this game and how it is an alternative to the assist system. It's a reverse assist system with different possibilities.

Those "questions" have already been answered in the thread numerous times before. If you want me to detail it then I will gladly do it.If you're referring to my posts, they aren't concern trolling.
With all due respect, they were thoughts/questions I felt were legitimate, and your comments quite frankly don't delegitimize them no matter who you are or how many posts you make on here.

I always knew he had the rekka, but now that i think about it, I haven't seen him use classic Repulsor Ray in any footage.

Honestly wasn't super excited for this since no one I know is getting it, but picked up a key for about $30 since I've always enjoyed MvC. Infinite looks really good. The visuals never bothered me too much, especially with the latest build they showed off. Every game has its bad moments, but overall MvCI looks good. Especially the gameplay. The roster of 30 is pretty decent top-to-bottom, would have liked to see Jill or Phoenix Wright but it is what it is. Probably gonna roll with the all-Capcom lineup of Chris, Dante, and Morrigan. May use Strider quite a bit too.
I um....have some news for you....
It's 2v2, not 3v3, but shit looks hype as fuck.
Wish someone asked to do more close ups of the figures. They look pretty good from a distance though.I just watched the CE unboxing video and yikes that looks bad. Those infinity stones look like plastic Easter eggs that have candy in them. Guess I'll just buy the thing digitally.

ftfyDante looks like trash in this game.
We've seen a couple of trophies pop-up in videos of the release build.Shocked that the Trophy list hasn't been released yet. Do we know any so far? Hopefully it's more Marvel 3 than Ultimate.
I never play shotos but Ryu looks super fun in this and Evil Ryu looks amazing.
