Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

On the last mission with my Titan. My second time through and I'm here wondering what the hell happened to
the speaker
? It's never even brought up when the game ends.

I mean... It's heavily implied/sorta blatant on what happened. Just how badly you don't want to accept is another.

My ESO Vampire Nightblade. He has spawned many new vampires giving free bites when they become available.

My Dark Souls 2 Murderer. I probabaly killed more people in arena and invades with this guy than all other souls games combined. Loved PvP in the game.

wrong thread bro

Managed to do the nightfall done before the reset.

With that it took me upto 275, landed a Wings of Sacred Dawn which just look...odd but what can you do. Also did the quest for Strum, all helping me up to 275.

My warlock bond is about the only thing that's under 270 and letting me down. Hopefully something will land after reset.
Exciting times ahead.

Beat the Nightfall, took us four* tries to finally get a solid plan down. Beat it with 3 seconds left haha, the last wave overwhelmed us and we started to choke. Timer was interesting, but I hope there isn't one everytime.

So that finishes off Week 1 for me, ending at 267. After 20+ crucible matches I'm at 1.25kd. Been avoiding the thread to keep spoilers at a minimum, but I'll be jumping in regularly now.

Still have all the exotic quests to do, some region chests, and haven't even dipped into other characters.

It's all a bit samey, very fun, but samey. Without the tough loot grind I wonder what they've got planned to keep me coming back this time.

there is a timer every time but the way you get time back is different

yummy

Love the new PVP. In 4v4 everyone plays an important role.

After beating the story and doing a bit of PvE grinding, I finally answered the callout to do 2 Crucible matches tonight. I was pleasantly surprised that things were fun, relatively balanced (to my terrible PvP eye) and that I felt like I was actually contributing, not just acting as a K/D sink.

I also got to know my opponents' preferred weapons, knowing that when I saw Weedman21 (or something like that) he was going to open up with his auto rifle, but FartWaffle42 was going for pinpoint scout rifle shots.

4 on 4 is an awesome design decision for my style of play.

Yeah I'm with you.
I was pretty shocked when I read that he died. I didn't get that at all. Him simply falling from his restraints and laying on the floor didn't exactly scream "death" to me.

Yeah it doesn't imply it at all. It's very awkward because in the end it makes that whole part of the story... pointless? Nothing came of it.

Well that paid off. Did the crucible milestone and got it mid match where I debated leaving to cash it in and call it a night. Stayed and got an exotic engram to go with the milestone!

And it was hardlight! As an auto fan this will work nicely for the raid since I can have two autos now!

Trying not to use engrams and hit milestones. I am on the mission where I go to IO but I am hitting a wall at about 220. Any thoughts?

I might be inferring the wrong thing from your post, but I don't think hoarding engrams helps in D2. When you receive an engram, the level of rewards is already set. It's just the specific reward that is unknown. The advice I've read on Reddit is to always use engrams as soon as you get them.

The only possible exception is not undertaking quests that will drop engrams near your current level (like Cayde-6's treasure maps) until you are approaching the power level limit.

Huh, so I can't matchmake for Nightfalls. The Guided Games tab says the activity is unavailible at this time, I hope that goes in soon, sounds neat for a solo player like myself.

Anyway, strivedsoul01 on PS4 if any of y'all need a hand (in Aus, which shouldn't matter too much beyond crucible) -- there might be a better thread to drop that info, but here we are for now.

Guided Nightfall should open up tomorrow for the reset.

Got three questions as we finish up the week:

I've got a couple +5 mods that I could toss on some gear right now that might raise me up a point, is there any reason NOT to do it? At 266 now.

Do legendary engrams drop randomly at higher than 265 or are they locked there and we have to get "powerful gear" / exotics to move up?

Sometimes I see a servitor with a yellow bar roaming around the starting area near the church in EDZ, but whenever I or someone else tries to take him out, he just disappears after a while. Doesn't seem to be a public event... high value target?

Want to try the nightfall.

PSN BobelacX.

Can't really talk though, don't want to wake the wife.

Also, only 266. Really selling myself there :/

I'm down if you're still looking to do the Nightfall. PSN ID is jtrov, just shoot me an invite. Light level is 269.

Well it kind of revealed that the Speaker was basically a fraud. Who the hell knows what the Traveller actually wants.
