I feel for all the U.K destiny addicts. There is nothing worse than system maintenance during evening. You come home after a long day of work and cant play the game that is literally designed by psychologists turning us all into addicts.

I am at work and all i can think about is Destiny. if this continues after 5:30 EST and I am forced to spend time with my wife and toddler, I am never going to forgive Bungie.

Absolutely I'm sure everyone has already migrated to the Fifa 18 Demo now and has no plans of ever looking back. Does bungie not understand Baja Edge of Control HD is out in just 2 days!! Bungie have dropped the ball for the final time. In such a packed gaming season something as medicore as Destiny will be swept under the rug VERY quickly.

It'll be like it almost never existed, a faint fragment of a memory, left to die alone in a distant land.

Leave it on rest mode. It does it automatically. (have a quick look in the power savings settings in case you disabled it)

Yeah figured this would be the reason but with how great this first week has been I really hoped they got the picture. All of the praise I've heard has been largely to do with the drop rates being fairer on the player.

I just deleted every shader I dropped so far, about 200 of them. The purples seems to give between 8 and 12 dust each, didn't pay too much attention. The others just glimmer.

Kind of wish there was a standard for the industry, like microtransaction can not be RNG goody bags, or if there are goody RNG bags everything in them has to buyable seperately, goody bags could be 10-20% off the total of buying all the drops of a goody bag separately. That way if you have silver (or whatever game currency) to spend and don't like whats on rotation don't care and just want a bundle of stuff to mess with you can buy a bag.

i got like four of these engrams just yesterday. one even gave me an exotic emote that had an insane arcade lighting effect. it was seriously the most impressive thing i have seen in destiny.

there is no way it was intended to be that frequent. D1 never gave you any emotes for free after the first one.

After 15 min of D1:
I miss my Cocytus SR4 scout rifle and my E-47 Prismatica sparrow, I have been spoiled by the ability to vault up ledges and not being able to in D1 feels super awkward now, textures on D1 weapons are better quality, physics on sparrows, even standard npc sold ones seem a lot more stable on D1?, I ran in to a one single person in the entire time I played, place is a ghost town.

I'll not disagree that in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal, however for UK players this is slap bang in the middle of the evening. Come home from work, Destiny down for maintenance and not back up with enough time before bed. People are going to be frustrated at that.

Sparrows, Ships and Ghost shells give Bright Dust. Ornaments give nothing but they have unlimited uses which is nice!
