Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I'm at 218 and have only been going up 1-2 light every like, hour? What should I be doing right now? So far I've just been circling around the EDZ/Io/Nessus trying to do public events, but it's so dead that I end up waiting 5 minutes for them to start and then barely scraping through with the max allotted time.

At this rate it's going to take me like 40 hours to hit 260, and I kind of wanted to hit 260 like, in the next 6-8 hours.

The fastest way to light level is to stick on Titan and go from the entrance zone by SPEEDER to the crossover zone when the first zones PE is done, do not fast travel. There is a bridge built out of two towers thats the cross point, when you are on the bridge itself just go a little slow into the next part so you get time to matchmake.

There is around 2 mins downtime every PE and last night I found packed zones every time, but again do not use fast travel just speeder between the zones so you can matchmake properly, I think using fast travel will put you into an empty zone a lot of times.

Did a LFG pug for rat king today, its definitely way easier than last weeks nightfall. Took us 2 tries but we ended up with 7 mins left and the boss dead, the rings on the drill was the hardest part but everyone tried to get rings and if someone makes it to the boss room everyone else (even dead) gets pulled to it.

These quests you get in weapon slots are annoying me. Are they just to get weapons and I can safely abandon them? I'm doing relics of the golden age (kill fallen with drang without reloading), on the comms, and rat kings crew. With the first 2 they say what to do but Rat King had a riddle and i have no idea what it means.

Anyway i'm now at 255 :) creeping up slowly. Infused a couple pieces to see how it works. Bought a load of random mods because i hit the glimmer cap so when (and if) i get to 280 i can use towards legendary ones. I'm glad we can finally see our clan roster. This will make it much easier to join up :)

It's 2 am now so time for sleep.

Just to everybody who wants to Raid

Do all the Powerful Gear milestones.

Go do Exotic Quests, try to pump up those Power Levels

Do it this way, so your Raid drops will always be the only Regards guaranteed to drop above your levels no matter what until cap.

So if you got 3 Guardians, you've got a fuckton of Milestones to do before Raid hits @1pm EDT.

Also I need to join a Group who's willing to have me for the Raid right as it launches.
Let me know!

I'd be up for doing it at 1.

And is anyone up for a NF now?

Isn't there a power cap at 280 anyway?

Dang this week's nightfall is easy mode for the Rat King thing. We did it a second time just to see if NF's drop any worthwhile gear beyond the weekly reset (which they don't) and we had 9:20 left without much effort.

Would love to know you setup and strats if you have time to describe

Tried the guided games tonight, had 3 different experiences:

First time got in with 2 English lads, my mic wasn't working and I couldn't figure out why so they told me to fuck off basically but we tried anyway and failed by a few seconds, just got overwhelmed on phase 3 of the boss. Turned out my mic wasn't plugged in all the way so I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. My fault but still, bit naff to be told to "fuck off" after a few seconds.

Tried again, got booted from 3 lobbies because my light level was lower than the guides. I am used to that though as I play WoW and pugging in that is alllllllllll about ilvl (basically the same as light).

Eventually though, two German geezers who were very well geared (300+) took me under their wing and we smashed it with 10 minutes left on the clock. And they were cool as fuck, I didn't need it explaining but many will have done and they were always giving info etc. If only I had been doing the Rat King quest! You can skip an awful lot of fighting in this Strike though, guess it might be one of the easier ones to do it on?

I don't understand how more of you aren't bothered by the autoaim... it's really spoiling the gunplay. Especially handcannons.

Just got a dead orbit gun... Wow. Didn't know the faction stuff was coming through yet. Maybe it has been all along and I've just missed it. Pretty cool!

Not much to it this week I feel like:

* Make sure you're all ready when someone jumps through the first ring in each room you see one. Everyone then focuses on spreading out and jumping through as many rings as possible, these are far more important than any other objectives.

* During the drill "wait" phase, one person can jump down, interact with the thing, and just die (or have everyone die). You respawn up above the drill but the objective continues to progress, so just wait until it is done and then jump down and launch to the next area.

* In the final drill area (where the blades are sweeping past) there is another ring section - two people here can afford to die going for as many rings as possible, while the person taking the safest lane should grab the couple rings on his path and just go to the boss room to pull everyone forward.

* Don't mess with the adds during the boss phases, if you are using matching weapon colors to the Prism bonus you can focus on just pushing him past phases 1 and 2 without giving adds the time to become a problem. Third phase he doesn't really begin to spawn adds until he is relatively low health so just try to save some heavy / super action here and obliterate the last third of his health bar before adds get out of hand.

Why doesn't Bungie just drop the fucking pretense and making solo matchmaking disabled in crucible? First they make every mode 4v4 which places an insane amount of importance on team cohesion and the matchmaking is just as stupid as Destiny 1 where every game is a total blow out.

I've been trying to solo matchmake for 30 minutes now and it's game after game after game being thrown into a team getting obliterated and people leaving. How you go from basically starting online console multiplayer with Halo 2 to this is beyond me.
I mean I was solo queueing the other night and it was win after win.

Just did the Prestige Nightfall:

Bring on the raid - so hyped!

269 Hunter I'm down, but I haven't done Rat King yet. But if there's something I gotta do to help no problem.

Sweet! You've got to do the Blue Crown quests on Titan for Rat King but if you just want to do NF and help out that'd be awesome!

1. TheWorthyEdge
2. Spizz
3. thefatness16

FULL for NF!

Wow thanks man!

thought PSN Rest mode would catch patches as they come in and download them.

Why you so slow, PSN :/ 4 hours :/

Er...just finished the story. Not really sure where all the hype is coming from regarding the last few missions. They were...fine, I guess? Some neat skyboxes but that was about it. Same old, same old for the most part.

Anyway, really having a blast with this game, main campaign aside. Excited to work on some end game stuff and get raid ready!

Nightfall is so much easier this week. I mean, I fell and died 70 times. But we finished with so much time left

I don't understand how the smart gear system is meant to work. I just collected one of my Powerful Gear rewards from Hawthawn and it was lower level than my max power level.

I was equipping less powerful gear at the time, bought I thought the game used your highest potential power when determining levels of new powerful gear?
