Spider-Man: Homecoming |OT| MCU's Sweet 16 - SPOILERS

Remember when people complained that Iron Man would be in the movie too much based off of two trailers that really only showed the same scenes?

Good times

Just saw it. Thought it was ok...surprised by the good buzz it received. The villain being Liz’s dad was eye-rolling.

Why's that? I thought it worked pretty well to be honest. It was unexpected but didn't feel like they were adding a twist just for the sake of it. Toomes figuring out Peter was Spider-Man during the car journey was one of my favourite scenes.

I wasn't rolling with it on the original reveal, but that scene and their man to man talk after made it all worth it. Highlight of the movie and the best example of why they struck gold with Keaton for that role. Now that the honeymoon's over I'd say Keaton is probably the most believable and overall best MCU villain yet.

Equally just seen it. A very nice little movie. Likeable and I thought it balanced Keaton and Spidey finding his feet quite well.

Not in my top 10 superhero flicks but a very breezy experience. Holland and pretty much the whole cast were well picked

What's there is still enough to disappoint people. Designing his suit and saving him twice are pretty significant for the role no matter the actual screen time.

It's not a high bar but I thought that at the time.

Loki is also pretty cool.

At least the villains are generally serviceable.

What a garbage film, nowhere near as good as the original or amazing spiderman. Wtf was that villian? What was his motivation? No chemistry, horrible action, trash film

Did you watch Amazing Spider-Man 2?

So uh, if any of you aren't going to use your code for the Superior Spider-Man costume DLC for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite that came with the Blu-Ray copy of the movie... PM me please? :)

What the fuck was Osborn's motivation? What about Connors'? "I'm a lizard now. Now we should all be lizards."

Alot of homecoming fanboys i see, pls tell me why spidey likes the mixed raced girl in this film again? They have 0 chemistry, and its very convenient for the hottest girl in school to be in a fucking spelling competition and eye fucking spidey repeatedly for some reason ffs

And the villian, wtf is he even doing? Wtf are those glowing things? Shoehorning mcu shit into everything.

This film is emotionless and that end fight scene was horrible. Amazing spidey blew me away in the action scenes, original spidey is powerful on an emotional level and a great origin story. Wtf is this film? Garbage, that’s what it is. There is no defending it, its as bad as wonderwoman.

Wouldn't you rather watch the movie to learn the answers to these questions yourself?

You come across as the kind of person to praise action over anything else. Did you enjoy the latest Transformers movie?

Great start, truly.

The way you phrased this really rubs me the wrong day, I don't think it's a good idea to bother answering the rest of your post.

I've been in enough Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron threads to realize it's pointless to try and reason with people who clearly were not paying attention to the movie lol

Just watched it, it was way better than I thought it would be.

Really like the way they mixed Iron Man with Spiderman, worked really well.

Definitely looking forward to more (especially after that ending lol).

Why the fuck does this even matter. Care to fucking explain yourself?

Whoa dude. What does this have to do with ANYTHING.

Maybe you just have bad taste. *shrugs*
I already said why it matters, she is the love interest but they never explained why the fuck spidey likes her. Mj in the original was presented in a believable girl next door manner, in this film there is 0 explanation. They have no good scenes together, he works better with mj who in this film is a hot loner for some reason lmao

Shit dont make no sense, nerd spidey has 2 of the hottest girls at his feet

Never watched it, havnt seen transformers since the original

How do you feel about the mixed race girl Spidey liked?

So I finally got around to seeing it. Here's my personal rankings for every Spiderman film. Weakest to Greatest

6) The Amazing Spiderman II
5) Spiderman III
4) Spiderman
3) The Amazing Spiderman
2) Spiderman II
1) Spiderman Homecoming

Best Spiderman film to date, and that's saying alot since I was completely burned out on the character not too long ago.

This post triggers me for some odd reason, But I'm going to be positive and assume you're just textually awkward. I have Aspergers and sometimes I say questionable things also so I understand.

Holy shit. I haven't visited this thread in a long time, saw it on the front page, and I find this thing here.

What the hell happened here.

Hah,a that comment could be taken a couple ways:

1) "Why does Peter like the mixed-race girl?" - as in, why would anyone like a mixed-race person?

2) "Why does Peter like the mixed-race girl?" - as in, why does Peter specifically like Liz, as the story doesn't really show why he likes her.

I don't know his intention, but I generally like to give the benefit of the doubt.

“it’s as bad as wonder woman”

oh so it’s actually very charming and entertaining and one of the best of the recent decade slate of SH films
