With Sandy Hook, 20 children were shot in their school and nothing happened. That was when I realized how badly we needed gun control and how badly we have already lost the fight when nothing happened after that. Nothing will happen here.

No. Should there be harsher background checks? Yes. Should we keep guns out of the hands of felons convicted of violent crimes and those with mental disabilities? Yes.

It was supposedly a semi-automatic rifle illegally modified to go full-auto. I don't really know much about these things, but Google seems to suggest it's quite an easy conversion.
