No. they directly state that the Genki Dama was only providing him with energy after he used his own all up and the explosion only triggered him to get over the wall. He is not being powered up by the Genki Dama. They directly talk about how the Genki Dama was nothing to Jiren and that adding its energy to Goku's would still be nowhere enough to do anything to him. It is not a form only obtained by the Genki Dama itself since the other gods can confirm they can do it, just that it is extremely hard. Whis tells them about this form a long time ago back in Ressurection F

I don't even know why people want more focus on Z at this point. Besides Gotenks, Kid Buu, Ultimate Gohan and movies villains who do really even need?

1) There are Genki dama crystals in his aura. You cannot explain away this no matter how hard you try.
2) Same thing was done before. If you watch the videos, it's almost exactly the same thing. Like picking an apple from the same tree and calling it an orange- it doesn't work.
3) Was still no where enough to be Jiren, who swatted him away even still. I don't get the point of that argument.
4) Of course Gods can do it, remember King Kai taught him the Genki Dama to begin with. Gods no doubt have refined the technique into something similar.

Did you even watch the damn episode where where they explain that it has nothing to do with the Genki Dama energy itself and that it is an entirely new form. They even ASK if Goku absorbed the Spirit Bomb and Whis says it has nothing to do with it as it would not be enough for Goku to do what he was doing against jiren

A) It was an assumption by Whis. B) You fail to see the point. Same wine in new bottle is still same wine. It's the same thing with something like Star Wars episode 7, people calling it new when it's just recycled material going by some other name. This has been done in Budokai, Future Trunks, and Android 13. . etc. How many times can it be done and people not realize it? I instantly saw it and knew I'd seen it at least twice before. I'm still waiting for you to explain the Genki dama crystals

Goku Black is a different character though. He only looks like Goku. He uses unique moves, fights differently, acts differently. It'd be like getting annoyed at having both Krillin and Tien because they are both bald humans. Same with Kid Goku, he's Goku but also he's smaller and fights differently and could use the stick and cloud in his attacks. Going by the latest Super episodes the new Goku form would also be different (but it's also waaaaaaay too recent to have any hope of being in the game).
I do agree that we didn't need Blue as a separate character, should've been an install like Golden Frieza.

I really do hope we get Ultra Instinct Goku as round 2 DLC or in a sequel. He really blew me away yesterday.

Whis refers to it having to do with some godly natural instinct. As someone mentioned before, he did try to explain this during Vegeta and Goku's training in Resurrection F.
It has nothing to do with the spirit bomb. When they showed the preview 2 weeks ago, I too thought it was due to the absorption of the spirit bomb like when he fought andriod 13 was it? but Whis explains that it has nothing to do with absorbing the spirit bomb.
The spirit bomb is technically powering his tired body, but the fighting style and instinct is from deep within Goku himself. So his ability to read Jiren's moves and to react to them, it's solely Goku's own potential.
It was interesting to see that even the gods know it's not something easily attained even at their power levels. It shows how natural everything comes to Goku when pushed to the edge and it paints Jiren in an even more overpowered light because he was able to go blow for blow with it.
On the transformation itself, it was good to see Goku in a state of mind where he's completely focused. Super has made him too childish, so this new form sort of brought me back to when he first went SSJ against Frieza and he was so serious.
The aura around him is godly,I love it. I would of loved for his hair to be in the SSJ form while still being black then to remain in its current base style.

There's no way we see that new transformation unless it becomes DLC for something next fall if the game gets supported that far out from launch.

The new form is 100% enough to be a unique character, just going from what we've seen so far. Now, in the future it might just become another SSJ where he fights and acts the same but is now just 10000x stronger or whatever, but from what we've seen the fighting style is different enough to be a new character in a fighting game. While Blue and SSJ are just Goku with different coloured hair and more power the new form is different from how he normally fights and behaves.
In this game Blue could have easily been an install like Golden Frieza is and instead of going SSJ3 for his big super could have gone Kiokenx10 when used with the Blue install. New form wouldn't work that way or even as a different costume/clone slot. It'd be like having Tien just use Krillin's moves because they are both bald humans.
