Is there any point guard taken after Flynn you wouldn't rather have over Jonny?CoffeeJanitor said:I'd give Kahn credit. Nearly all of his moves thus far have panned out.
I will say that the Flynn pick may not have been the best, but Rubio is still to be seen (should be good after a year or so over here), and the Wes J pick which seemed to just be safe at the time seems to have been the right choice.
Yeah, I'd agree. Flynn was not a good pick.Rodeo Clown said:Is there any point guard taken after Flynn you wouldn't rather have over Jonny?
Curry, Jennings, Holiday, Lawson, Collison, even Eric Maynor are all better.
The Wolves had all those guys in, sans Curry (who didn't do a ton of workouts, and didn't workout for Golden State, but they trusted their scouts enough to take him) and Kahn came away thinking Flynn was the guy.
You mean the thing where the Wolves would have taken James Johnson at 16 and packaged them for Evans? Never bought it for a second. Flynn was always Kahn's guy. That's all that was heard after the big workout, and that rumor came after it was clear Evans was RotY. Kahn trying to rewrite history.CoffeeJanitor said:Yeah, I'd agree. Flynn was not a good pick.
Rumor has it though that it could have been for a package for Favors, but that's off of Rubechat so that obviously doesn't mean much.
Again, though, if we get something for him, then at least it wasn't a complete waste.

Edit: Good point brought up by a commenter over at Hoopus. He doesn't come over this year, the Wolves keep his rights, but Flynn is really good. Rubio loses his leverage.

Hey, I won't back down from that. I said before the draft that I liked Flynn a lot and hoped we could come away with Flynn and some 2 guard, hopefully Harden. Mistakes were made.Adam Blade said:

Loving it.
So there was no way the Heat could have kept Beasley and Wright instead of bringing Miller and some? I can't remember in what order everything happened...
Eh, more like homer Rubechat dudes making up stuffRodeo Clown said:You mean the thing where the Wolves would have taken James Johnson at 16 and packaged them for Evans? Never bought it for a second.
