It seems that you are not good at what you do either.wish i worked at a job where i could just not do my work and tell the boss i ran out of enthusiasm. must be nice to have a job with that kind of privilege.
the fact this jackass can't even do a job he is being paid for tells me more about the game than his review ever could.
I know it's different people now but i still can't take the mag seriously after this

Or their Super Metroid review that i can't find right now.
They should review it at least for the sake of meta/opencritic scores reflecting a full spectrum of opinions about the game.He doesn't need to review it, we can see clearly that he doesn't like it and we have enough nuanced reviews giving opinions as to why he may or may not have liked it.
LOL you have no fucking clue what i do. every day i get tickets to work on. i can't just not do them. but good on you for i guess working in a field where you can pick and choose your work. not many people have that kind of autonomy. congrats on your privilege. It seems that you are not good at what you do either.
I'm very VERY good in my field and sometimes I said "Nope, I won't do this".
Also, you can enjoy the game when it launches, or you can continue to cry because someone on the internet disliked your virtual toy.![]()
if your job is reviewing video games for a living, and part of that job is playing a game all the way through, and you fail to do that, then you are failing at your job. why should i listen to a "professional" opinion from someone who can't even do what they are asked?
Well you try to watch others reviews that says the opposite.Yeap. Kojima blew this up. The game, by the reviews I watched, is just a chore. Exactly like I thought it would be.
Like Just Push Start or The Sixth Axis?Well you try to watch others reviews that says the opposite.
25 years later, Doom still a trend because it requires online activation, lol.I know it's different people now but i still can't take the mag seriously after this

There are a lot of reviews... a lot of 10s, 9s, 8s, etc... to be fair way more than lower scores because the game sits at 84 on Meta even after 71 reviews added.Like Just Push Start or The Sixth Axis?
People review games without finishing them? Is this a common thing and I'm just super naive about it?
I love Edge Magazine, this is rather disappointing.
Yes, but you are just saying that "bad" reviews won't matter because there is "good" reviews out there. There are a lot of reviews... a lot of 10s, 9s, 8s, etc... to be fair way more than lower scores because the game sits at 84 on Meta even after 71 reviews added.
It is 84 on Meta even with a 35/100 review lol
Nope... you said just the bad ones matter... I corrected you that there are more than the bad ones.Yes, but you are just saying that "bad" reviews won't matter because there is "good" reviews out there.
And guess what, some of these "good" reviews are complaining about the same things in the "bad" reviews.
But I know that you don't read reviews, Edmárcio. Desde os tempos do UOL...
Never read it before but from those needlessly snarky and immature comments it doesn't sound like I am missing a thing. Really, it sounds like shit some 15 year old girl would post on Facebook.
Then you'll probably get more of this. As he said, they ran out of time. Literally not allowed to review the game unless they finished it.No it should have that rule to every game.
They had 2 weeks. Then you'll probably get more of this. As he said, they ran out of time. Literally not allowed to review the game unless they finished it.
Instead they cleverly changed the review to a preview -- which is just sidestepping the rules laid down by the publisher -- very pragmatic.
call red dead redemption 2 what you want. But it has some amazing story telling. The same magazine that gave a 100 to that insufferable bore-fest called Red Dead Redemption 2 is not reviewing a game because they didn't want to complete it.
I have never used reviews or read gaming "journalists" (i know that most of them know shit about development ) as a valid parameter but cmon, these guys are digging their own tomb into irrelevance with their bullshit.
They won't it is in the OP.I didn't know Edge were butthurt. Of course there will be a review in the later issue.
That's certainly a legitimate position to have. You could still spin that into a decent review imo.
There are certainly games that I drop before I'm done nowadays because they're just not good enough. But I always play enough to form a solid opinion that could easily be shared.
They won't do that... it is on OP.They can buy their own copy and publish a review after launch without finishing the game, surely there is no embargo for that. Why can't a review be in the next issue?
Do the job you are paid for?True, I've enjoyed games that I didn't finish.
I think it's pretty telling that a 'professional' game reviewer couldn't bring himself to finish it though. I get the argument that it's pretty unprofessional of them not to finish but if you play a substantial amount of the game and hate it then what's the point in playing any more?
Seriously, fuck all the sites/magazines/youtubers who in general review games but don't actually finish the game. They can all fuck off.
If he was only a gamer... not.Am I supposed to be pissed that he hated the game so much he didn't want to finish it?
Do the job you are paid for?
Let's forget DS.
If a reviewer just review half of the campaign of TLOU... that is right for you knowing the strongest part of the narrative is the last act?
My hot take, Kojima sucks and always has. Dude should just go be a bad film directed like he obviously wants to.
