No team that starts Keith Bogans can ever be considered good.
I do think they're overrated, especially considering that their competition is the weakest this side of the Pacific Division.

When you get to play the Pacers, Pistons, Bucks, and Cavs a total of 16 times/year, that's money in the bank.

Bulls would have to give up Taj Gibson to get anyone decent in a trade which they don't appear to want to do considering how Lol Deng appears to be at the center of any potential deal.
No team values average players like the Bull do.

They should've given up anything to land Melo.

In the first 15 games of the season, the Jazz were first in eFG% allowed and first in 3PFG% allowed.

In the last 10-15 games, they're 29th in DRtg and seem to be the worst three point shot defending team in the NBA and one of the worst in NBA history.

The difference is AK. He was amazing in the first 15 games of the season on defense and has been horrible since. What happened to him? I just don't get it. He's lost his athleticism, but he didn't have it at the beginning of the season either and was still locking down LeBron, JJ, and others.

Portland Trail Blazers.

Jazz dancer karma failed last night for the first time ever in the regular season. We're now 2-1 with it this season, and it was a perfect whatever-0 last year until the playoffs. Maybe the magic is dead. Here's the final one if it doesn't work. I really don't want to be walking out of the arena bummed out today. I don't think there's a worse team in the league to run into on the second night of a back to back while they've had rest, however.

Go Jazz, I guess...whatever.

Don't flop, Gino.

would an incestual sex tape be a first for the internet?
Why don't you go look and let us know what you find.

Jazz need to trade Deron before the deadline. It's becoming pretty clear that he's leaving in 2012, and I think the Jazz can still get Favors and Lopez for him at this point. If they wait until 2011, his value will drop because he's expiring, and if they wait until 2012, they'll get nothing for him. Then they can trade Millsap and tank in 2012 for Irving or Gilchrist (I prefer Gilchrist) and have a good future. Apparently Sullinger wants to wait until 2012 to come out as well.

This guy is past Konex insane.

Jeff, I was told to contact you if ItWasMeantToBe19 started acting up again.

This is like the worst thing we could ever do. Even if he does leave, we should NEVER send him packing. Our best chance at staying relevant is to keep him here and keep him happy. We need to put the proper pieces around him and convince him to stay here. I know he likes living here, and his wife is really happy here (my friend's wife has a mutual friend with Deron's wife and they talk a lot about it), so there's reasons aside from basketball for him to be here as a family man.

It's a slump, man. We were rolling even through a tough schedule earlier this year. There's no reason to think that this team can't put the wheels back on and get rolling once again. I don't want to gamble away our future based on a bad week and a half.

The Nets were willing to give up Favors, Harris, and picks for Melo. The difference in trade value between Melo and Deron is similar to the difference between Harris+picks and Brook Lopez.

The fact that you want to give up a top 3 PG for trash is what i was pointing out.

I don't see him staying with all the bashing he's done of the management and players on the team. Especially considering that he can't be famous in Utah and probably won't win a title here with this group and all the little hints he's had about leaving.

Favors and Brook will be top 3 at their positions in a couple of years (Though I wouldn't want Brook on the Jazz right now, his attitude is terrible and he and Hayward could combine to kill the locker room. He would have to be traded for someone else).

Games the Jazz have won against +.500 teams in the last two months: 1

They beat the Magic in December.

The Magic were on the road.

Coming off a b2b.

In the middle of a ten game losing streak.

Right before they traded their entire team.

This isn't a slump, the Jazz just aren't good. Bell and AK suck too much to play major minutes and for your team to win.

We can't give Utar Ron because we need him to guard the opposing squads best player and we need Fish to keep teabagging Konex. Luke,Ebanks and a 1st rd pick(if the lakers have one)? Ebanks is a future trevor ariza and you get excellent basketball knowledge from luke.

Then how do you explain the hot start? It's been a bad, bad month. I will give you that. We've beat Miami, Orlando, OKC, Atlanta, and the Cavs on the road. That's great.

I think we're struggling with how Okur is fitting in, some of our shooters are in a slump, and the team is playing lethargic. I really wonder if Sloan is running them too hard in practice. From what I hear practices have been pretty hard. Some times Sloan does this and the players get beaten down and then he backs off a bit and it helps. I point back to the game just after Christmas when the Jazz sucked it up at home and Sloan said that maybe he let the guys rest too much and that he would look closer at that decision. Maybe he's pushed too hard the other way.

Jason Williams has battled arthritic feet and some personal issues this season that have kept him on the sidelines for much of the Orlando Magic’s campaign. But it seemed like he was back, and last Friday took part in the team’s shootaround.

Then today the Magic announced that he has left the team (via twitter). No official reason was given, The team added that Magic GM Otis Smith said the matter will be dealt with when the team returns from its road trip.

The hot start was thanks to the fact that AK was awesome at the beginning of the season and pretty much locked down everyone he was matched up again. He was also shooting an insane, abnormal three point percentage for his career in those games of above 40%. Now he's sort of lost the will to live and looks finished. I would agree that Elson being replaced in the rotation by Okur was a major negative for the team and has to lead to them going from average to horrible though.

I also think Jeremy Evans should start getting 10-12 minutes per night to see how he does. I could see him as a 20 minute guy by the end of the season. All he does is get easy baskets. It's like a freakishly athletic Ronnie Brewer.

Chris Webber said last night that Boozer was the heart and energy of the Jazz team. Always displaying energy and cheering on the sidelines.

Jason Richardson for Deron Webber, straight up as J-Rich can't be packaged.

2nd trade for Raja Bell, Mehmet Okur in exchange for Jameel Nielson, Ryan Anderson, and a trade exception.

That's like saying Jamaal Magloire is the heart of the Heat.

I guess every team does need that dude in a suit.
