I just hope by the time microLED's come out that OLED's might come with a new solution that will put burn-in's headaches to rest. In the meanwhile, they're not for me as they'll 100% won't last few months from purchase with my usage.

An LED TV with FLAD (Full Array Local Dimming) is one thing, the real deal is the algorithm used and the amount of zones. Take note that with some manufacturers and tv models Game mode will force a different algorithm if you turn on local dimming since it needs to minimize input latency.

Oh, I've got my eye on MicroLED big time, I just hope that they reach a decent price. I'm not in the market for a new tv yet, but likely by mid next year I'll have the itch, even more so with the new consoles taking massive advantage of it all. I can't help but feel a 120hrz, HDR, 8k MicroLED 65" minimum TV will be dirt cheap........................

I went OLED (C9) at the start of this year. I am a little concerned about longevity - last Sony screen had served me well for 8 years - so was seriously considering QLED. The clincher for me was price and picture quality. Samsung kept the Q90R price relatively high so it was £1150 vs £1800 in favour of the OLED when I pulled the trigger. Even if it only lasts 4 years I can pick another one up after that for a similar price to the QLED. Picture quality is a preference thing, but when I was erring on the side of QLED when ever I compared the two in a well set up environment I always preferred the OLED picture. I get why some prefer the QLED though.

For a regular user QLED is simply a marketing term for Samsung TVs. There's nothing special about it.
Since new TVs are releasing during Spring, I'd wait for reviews. The only proper review sites I've found so far is rtings.com and HDTVTest on Youtube.

Yeah I went from a Sony KDL46HX803 to the 55" C9. Big upgrade for me. The picture on the old screen was still really good mind, it was a great TV in it's day.

I don't even have HDR and mine is a pretty cheap tv right now, I mean I don't think is awfull but nothing close to be top tier. That's because I was planning in changing for next gen but I had to buy a new one just in the middle o this gen instead, so I went on the saving side.
QLED, OLED, whatever, it will be a big jump for me likely, I will wait for Black Friday 2020 and buy some high end TV, I'm planning to stay under 1000/800 dollars with sales.

Well, according to Wikipedia there are technical differences between OLED and QLED, they are different technologies for what I understand. It's not just "well it's OLED but it's Samsung so QLED it is".

Unfortunatly, this thing is different for everyone. Public workers are covered, employees could be covered depending on the contract, indipendent businesses are fucked and me... well, there is no "smart working" for me. The only "smart" thing that I have is take my ass out to work if I want paycheck these months.

MicroLED is definitely to look out for in terms of competition towards OLED. But, MicroLED won't be cheap for mass market for another ~5-7 years.

With sales, I could stretch it and go for 1000 max, but if I find a good one at the end of the year fuck it I will take it for 500. 4K TVs are getting really cheap. As I said, I plan in staying with the same TV for seven years at least.

Italy started to close some activities only now, they tried to educate the population with some general directives but people were literally doing like "yeah but I got to go on holidays you know..."
So they are locking down entire cities and regions, no one can go in or out, but if you want to stop this before hospitals go nuts I feel that closing the fucking world is the thing to do, at least now.

You send your kids to school, they all mingle, and then they come home and give the germs to everybody around them. They go back the next day, spread the germs, and then go home and do it again. Want to know the stupid thing? After posting what I have, and reading a few things sent my way, I've seen other stories from other areas that have matched what I said (that wasn't my original post or about me/related to), and a couple were from even before. I mean what else can I say? But alas, I'm here now the same as you all. I won't be asking for any new info, and anything else I DO get I won't be posting, that's for bloody sure. I've learnt my lesson: Don't trust the horde. My character was called into question and insults thrown my way, and that's fine, this is the internet. But once my daughter was involved sexually, I was well and truly done with it all. Twitter just gave me the usual silence and deleted account bollocks, but it was clearly a fake (0/0 following count). But that's enough for me to essentially say no, no more. From now on I'm plain clothes, and will just be here for the lulz. People will understand what's happening at some point.

Sorry, they are different technologies. Even Sony LED and Samsung QLED use different technologies, but the process doesn't matter for the consumer. In fact Sony TVs usually offer more precise colours out of the box compared to Samsung TVs.
My point is that QLED is simply a marketing term. There is no secret sauce for Samsung TVs.

I love it. Like Resident Evil 5 or Diablo, it really shines most with a group of friends. The developers are very open and active and push updates and communication about concerns very quickly. They are already talking new content and patches for issues the community has a week into the expansion.
Also, it is a game that definitely pushes the PS4. I think it would really benefit from enhanced BC on PS5 with a Boost mode and SSD support, if they don't do a straight PS5 port of it.
That is why I'm hoping there is more to the BC than just basic BC with PS4. Some games like Division 2 could really benefit from enhancements like that.

Well, since I was a little kid, my mom used to give me bananas with rice that can be with curry or other type of rice, used to eat cooked pear. Basically, I can eat nearly everything, I probably only hate plain coffee, or putting chicken next to beef/red meat feels insulting
I can eat grilled beef with honey, love it. So sweet and salty is not an issue.

Qled is just Samsungs bullshit scam marketing term to make consumers think that it is same as OLED, because Q looks a lot like O. I have seen many times that people buy QLED and then think it is OLED.
QLED is basically just like LCD (aka LED aka LCD led, they are all just LCD with different backlights and ones with LEDs are sometimes called LED tvs)
While OLED is all different tech + much better imo, for black levels and quality.
I still have Sony 48" fullHD but I'm waiting for 48" Sony OLED to be released.
Samsung tvs are bad anyway on quality wise, many people have had samsungs broke in my social circles but I know 5 people with Sony tvs from the same era as mine (around 5-8y old) and all work. Even my 1996 sony crt still works.
