Exactly! I never understood that mindset. I mean, if you care THAT much about numbers and hardware, just get a PC, lmao. I know a lot of the time it's just fanboys wanting to be like, "HURR DURR THE ONE I LOVE IS BETTER!"
The consoles UI/HUD/Dashboard is huge to me considering how much you interact with it. But I'm not buying a console to play in a dashboard, it's to play awesome exclusives that I can't play on PC.
Honestly, I don't think it has anyhing to do with "balls", it's a business, they're most likely trying to strategically plan and act on what they think is best for them and their brand. But who knows, there are a lot of variables there, could literally be anything. I don't see anything "embarrassing" about it, lmao.

Even if the ps5 was 200 dollars and had a Netflix like library of ps1 to ps4 games you'll still get sad sad individuals that only care about a number they don't really understand. Sony saw the Xbox info and must feel confident that the PS5 can compete or is just gonna face stomp it . I don't see any other reason for them to show it off so quickly after the xboxs info came out. In the end both systems will be within 10% of each other hardware wise so there will literally be no difference outside of maybe 5 frames per second . Hardware won't make the difference, the tweaks and secret sauce both companies put into their apis and systems will. Excited but also not excited because it's they will basically be the same damn system.

I definitely expect a hardware focus, for sure. I just meant that I hope devs can be more open about the projects that they are working on now! Though that would probably also wait for a PSX type of reveal event.

Really curious about PSVR benefits. VR is super demanding, but when its developed around powerful hardware., its incredible.
For regular games, these upgrades are pretty boring imo, it's the same shit every few years.
Some of the problem is getting these big, realistic worlds running in VR. Most psvr games now are limited, either simple visuals, very linear, or very muddy resolution and bare bones framerate 60fps. The base ps4 is barely able to handle those grainy visuals now, even pro struggles with that CPU.
Detaching from ps4 will be a mammoth upgrade, even at 9tf and a zen2. In a closed box with Sony devs? That's exciting.

March came and with it Covid19 and I completely lost hope that this will get revealed before summer (best case), and sincerely didn't even care anymore since the most important is surviving this virus and the economic collapse.
