Is it a talking point because they believe that UV light is a made-up story?

Meh no real time ray tracing, doesn't look like its using an SSD. I am going to pass this is clearly running on last gen technology and would struggle to hit 4K60.

So I'm really worried about this mask situation. For some reason when I cover my face It feels as if I'm suffocating and it's unbearable I don't know why this is happens.

So my point is what am i suppose to do if wearing one becomes compulsory in the UK.

Make sure youre clean shaven. People wearing face masks with facial hair are defeating the purpose of the masks.

Why did Obama talk about visiting the 57 states? He's not a geographer.

Every president says stupid shit with mixing up "low level" facts, as does almost every executive. If you ever have to give presentations to executives who are not active experts in a technical field you learn that you have to dumb down everything to "high level" summaries, and even then they tend to mix up small details occasionally. Him talking about IR, while it would almost certainly not do anything, is the kind of thing I'd expect.

Haha you can't be seriously attempting to defend this can you? It is what it is man, the guy says stupid shit on a consistent basis. We havent seen this level of stupid shit saying since Bush Jr.

I've worked around people at his "management level" for years - some are just more vocal with dumb ideas than others because they have a very loose understanding of the things they are managing. I don't hold lasting grudges over it. And I have only been talking about the UV/IR comment - the disinfectant injection is a whole separate level of dumb.

So instead of standing up there sounding like an absolute buffoon, why the hell doesn't he let actual scientists talk about this?

Because he knows they are all there for Trump and it gets the ratings, I imagine. For better or worse, it's a strategy that has worked for him up until now. We'll see how if it pays off again in November.

It makes sense to have the medical community look at the findings of the DHS and see if their is any application thats what he was asking. But it was stupid of him to say it that way and left himself open to an attack. Dumb move on his end and stole the thunder from what was a pretty big announcement.

Media has got some good copy to run the next few days on. They might even stop asking about testing lol.

So instead of standing up there sounding like an absolute buffoon, why the hell doesn't he let actual scientists talk about this? The guy sounds ridiculous. He should really stick to tearing apart the media, he kills it and that is far more entertaining.

It's a self-sustaining cycle.
He speaks at length about a variety of topics, meandering along the way, and the media pulls things out of context or takes bait he intentionally tosses out there, fixating on what will attract the most attention instead of focusing on more important topics. Then Trump tears them apart for it. Rinse, repeat. It's been happening since the day he came down that elevator in summer 2015.

There's no such thing as bad publicity for him. He survived an onslaught of attacks in 2016. If he does it again this November after four years of endless attacks from all directions I'm sure there'll be university courses that talk about how he played the media. News outlets aren't interested in talking about it because Trump and the media feed off each other. They can end him, but they don't want to because he prints money for them (e.g.: investigate the root of Steele dossier/FBI/Mueller investigation vs repeating "the walls are closing in" for 2.5 years - easy choice). Like he's said many times, what happens to these news outlets when he's out of office?

On topic - my dad's been in poor health for a long time, going against the health advice of just about everyone around him for decades, and he caught the virus in a long term care facility almost two weeks ago. I figured it was only a matter of time with the way things have been handled up here in Quebec. He's in his late 60's, overweight, has diabetes, hypertension as well as other complications (regular dialysis treatments), so knowing what we do about patients with comorbidities I'm expecting the worst. Doctors had given him about a year, if he was lucky, even before this. He developed a fever, a bad cough and came down with pneumonia... then recovered. He sounded his usual self on the phone, like nothing had ever happened.

Good news, of course, but I'm also a bit puzzled. How did someone in such poor health fight this off? My mom thinks it's his positive, never-say-die attitude. I think she's crazy.

Hi,

My mom was sent home from the hospital this afternoon - unfortunately the ward she was on had an outbreak while she was there... but they didn’t know about it... and today three nurses and three patients tested positive. They tested my mother four hours ago and then immediately sent her home. We were told we’ll know tomorrow. But she’s actually here in the house.

Unfortunately, getting mom into the house was not done properly. My sister - who hasn’t helped out at all, really - showed up and made a mess of things. I wanted mom to go straight to her room, but that didn’t happen. If my mom’s positive then my sister probably contaminated the place.

I can only hope now that mom isn’t positive. That’s my only hope.

The internal bleeding, I hope, has stopped too - but I’m not 100% sure. It’ll all be for nothing anyway if my mom’s positive.

I’m numb right now. I need one thing to go my way. I‘m just... on my knees here. I left work today because I wasn’t functional. I won’t be able to get away with leaving work too many times.

I need my mom to negative. I need some luck.

Even though Trump constantly shows illiteracy in sciences, and he sometimes even intentionally say something showing lack of common sense, he does this to (1) solidate more support from his base, (2) and he does put experienced people who knows stuff in the frontline. Therefore I think it is strategically wise for him to be illiterate.

If he is using whatever retarded shit he was saying in that video to "solidate" more support from his base, what does that say about his base?!

Not sure it was a dumb move, honestly. It's unlikely the media would have even mentioned it if he just played it straight. Now they'll be forced to mention the source of his misguided suggestions in their attacks on him, which may actually get some readers to look into it further. Not saying it was some intentional 4th dimensional chess move on behalf of Trump or anything, but the end result is that it's going to get more eyeballs on these DHS findings than if he just read some boring sentence of a script.

Mistaking IR and UV is being Biden, he's also in his 70s after all.

You are confusing Chlorox or household bleach ( sodium hypochlorite - NaClO) with chlorine dioxide (ClO2) which when administered orally in small doses with water (on a drop by drop basis) is an effective killer of anaerobic bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses through the process of selective oxidation and denaturing.

no-harmful-vocs-vital-oxide-valve-spra_1024x1024.jpg

The key here is selective oxidation.

Its a lie that Chlorine Dioxide is a medication; its a disinfectant of medical devices but should never be ingested. Fake MMS bullshit.

If it's a lie why has it been studied countless times especially in Germany.

One example of an ongoing trial - https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04343742

Should never be ingested eh?

In small doses it's effective - 154 malaria positive patients were treated with it and the results suppressed.

Should never be ingested eh?

The medical racket purely revolves around patents and profits.

You destroy one virus by oxidation you quickly can destroy them all.

This is on the same level as vaccines cause autism spectrum. Don't regurgitate quack science.

What is this? It has killed more Americans in a month than the flu does in a year. So roughly 12x deadlier.

It's hilarious because we have factual Data that shows it's not.

You just need to look at the Diamond Princess where almost everyone was tested. 700 were tested positive, 14 died. This is 1,8%. So while Expert estimate it's not as high, saying it's "not as deadly as the flu" is just factually wrong.

Quack science? I have listed two examples of chlorine dioxide being administered orally in small doses.

This isn't a discussion on vaccines.

You listed a clinical trial that isn't going to show any difference to any tests done before into Chlorine Dioxide and secondly, you claimed Malaria was successfully treated with it. Both are quack science.

"Chlorine dioxide is fraudulently marketed as a magic cure for a range of diseases from brain cancer to AIDS. Enemas of chlorine dioxide are a supposed cure for childhood autism, resulting in complaints to the FDA reporting life-threatening reactions,[42] and even death.[43] Chlorine dioxide is relabelled to a variety of brand names including, but not limited to MMS, Miracle Mineral Solution and CD protocol.[44] There is no scientific basis for chlorine dioxide's medical properties and FDA has warned against its usage.[45][46] "

Chlorine Dioxide is frequently proposed as a Pseudomedicine with no basis in science and the FDA advising against it. What next? Healing Crystals?

The Sunlight part might actually have good results as we have evidence of similar viruses being affected by light/heat; but it'll still need peer-reviewed clinical trials.

God, I'd hate to be the poor patients roped into this study.

Not really surprising. It was a drug for ebola that didn't actually end up being very effective, so now they were trying to push it for coronavirus.
Surprising is the wild contrast with this recent statement (which had major impact of Gilead's stock):

To the people that are overanalyzing and trying to come up with an excuse to what he said...lol

You need to clean ur trump glasses, they are foggy as hell. Its sad that someone says something as ridiculous as what he just said and someone else tries to justify it.

The media doesnt have to do anything, just play the clip. The president of the US just suggested UV lights and injecting desinfectant, this is exacly what he said.

Killing all or a large portion of the bacteria in your body will kill you way faster then coronavirus,

It would induce a severe herxheimer effect at a high dosage.

Dosage like anything you take is important to consider.

Wikipedia isn't credible. There is a reason why its advised against its use in academic referencing.

I am not advocating treatments but I am advocating open research and awareness of conflicts of interest in the industry.

Since you mentioned other healing therapies in a derogatory manner I will leave you this data point to consider resonating frequencies in cancer research. (Youtube link)

I think we will agree to disagree at this point.

In the meantime, the French government has put stricter control of nicotine patches and gum sales, in fear that people would rush on them after the first observations of lower representation of smokers among people who caught the virus. Once again it shows that science should be left to scientists, who should be cautious with the info they give to the general public. Of course it's impossible nowadays to put a lid on information and only let out the things we consider are safe to be made public.

Yesterday I went to the grocery store

They have clear marks for entrance and exit with a divider and arrows and everything. As I was going in 3 separate people came out the entrance side. And it's a skinny aisle so I kept having to back up and shuffle to the side. Then there's this old dude who decides to put on his mask right at the entrance instead of when he's in his car or right after getting out of it.

Details on remdesivir from BBC:

(dramatic detail: to my knowledge it was China was doing the test):
What do we know about the study?
News of the failed trial spread after the WHO posted details on its clinical trials database, before it was removed. The WHO has since confirmed the draft report was mistakenly uploaded.
It showed that researchers studied 237 patients, administering the drug to 158 and comparing their progress with the remaining 79, who received a placebo.
After a month, 13.9% of the patients taking the drug had died compared to 12.8% of those receiving the placebo. The trial was stopped early because of side-effects.
"Remdesivir was not associated with clinical or virological benefits," the summary states.

What has the company said?
Gilead has disputed the WHO post.
"We believe the post included inappropriate characterisations of the study," a spokesman for Gilead said, adding that it was terminated early due to low enrolment and was therefore not statistically meaningful.
"As such, the study results are inconclusive, though trends in the data suggest a potential benefit for remdesivir, particularly among patients treated early in disease," he said.
