Just to update on my Symptoms.

2 weeks on and I still get pains in my lungs and back but hopefully getting better.

I have had a total of 6 nights thinking I might die because of the chest pain and heavy breathing. Still get the heavy breathing sometimes but trying to control it with a Inhaler as well as Paracetemol.

It honestly feels like your insides are tightening all the time and when you move it can really hurt, standing up and moving can help but it never lasts.

If this is mild, then I fear a more aggressive version.

It seems some people can still have problems 7 weeks on but so far those I know who have it say it lasts for 3 weeks and you can have other symptoms.

Hoping I took a turn for the better anyhow. I can still move around and stuff but you sometimes get 20 to 30 minutes of excruciating pains and you literally have to try and breathe heavily and calmly and not move around.

You can't execise, panic or look at porn as it can make it much worse.

Man I'm getting so tired of this lockdown bullshit. I'm in desperate need of new shoes so I ordered some online and of course they don't fit, so now I'm waiting who the fuck knows how long to be able to return them in store.

Can't go buy a pair of fucking shoes or clothes or get my haircut but my province has garden centres slated to reopen first! Awesome! I'm tired of hearing one thing from the government and their experts, and then watching tearful pleas for reopening from doctors like the one in the video I shared last night that not one person watched or commented on because it was an hour long oh no, or I didn't provide a tldr to snipe.

The hotter the surrounding temperature, the faster the novel coronavirus dies on surfaces, say researchers at the Israel Institute for Biological Research in Ness Ziona.

The governmental research institute — which is also working toward a Covid-19 treatment and vaccine — says its study indicates the coming summer heat in Israel will neutralize any virus particles on surfaces fairly fast.

Their research showed that the virus disappeared from plastic and metal surfaces within about three hours in an environment heated to 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). In contrast, the virus remains active for four days in a 22C (72F) environment.

In more good news, the Israeli scientists say there is little danger of virus particles on surfaces getting into air-conditioning systems.

Public-health experts believe that infection is less likely to be transferred via contact with surfaces anyway. The main danger is droplets traveling through the air after infected person coughs.

The scientists emphasized that even if widespread disinfection of surfaces may not be necessary in hot weather, it is still wise to exercise caution when touching surfaces such as elevator buttons and door handles.

So I went into to Costco the other day for the first time since this all broke out. They had a recording playing on loop reminding us to stay 6ft apart because it was recommended from the CDC. I get the idea behind but man it reminded me of something straight from 1984. Its a small step before they start telling us Doublethink is good and not to question big brother.

Obviously I dont think it will ever get that bad....... it is just a weird time that we are living in.

Walmart had the same thing IN THE PARKING LOT until people complained that it made them feel like they were being herded into a concentration camp.

Im watching it right now.

I think the problem we are having now basically boils down to the limited capacity of the general public to understand a situation like this and also, the inability of politicians/scientists to admit that they might have taken the wrong steps or were wrong about something.

Everybody was reacting to information as it came in: People in Europe are dying from lack of oxygen! build all the ventilators! There is a 3.4% CFL rate from Europe and it spreads through human contact! Lock it down!

As time goes on and we learn more, we are starting to realize that some of these steps were maybe unnecessary but who knew this at the time? Were they unnecessary? Or did they help some countries dodge a bullet? It also doesnt help that it seems to be COVID 19 can manifest in ways that we've never seen before from a virus like this: blood clots, ARDS, organ failure, skin rashes, etc, etc.

I'm just saying it's troubling to me the wide range of "expert opinions", they literally run the gamut from "expect lockdowns to continue until we can have a vaccine", to "lockdowns were a huge mistake that need to end yesterday and this is prolonging the effects of the virus/having immeasurable economic and societal effects".

This thing has been here for some time now, we have our best people on this, and we still get FUD from all angles of the media and uncertainty about what is even happening. It's maddening.

I don't know what it's right or wrong anymore but I'm fucking revolted. I just had to get out of the house because my daughter's school called and told me to go there grab some materials for her to study in the coming weeks. OK. I did that.

The amount of vehicles and people walking in the streets is the same as usual.

I don't understand. I've been locked here all this time and all these fucking bozos are walking everywhere like it's a normal day.

They should just open everything up and collect the corpses. I'm so fucking tired of this bullshit. Brazil is a shitty place.

South america its just begining specially Brasil. We need to see the numbers of next weeks and June.

When I look at these countries in SA I see that they all started getting cases in early March. I guess we will see if they got it later than the rest of the world but that would seem odd.

I guess lets wait a month or two and see if it gets worse.

It probably is. I have had Panic Attacks before, but I think it just makes my symptoms worse than what it actually is.

It is probably because the first day i got it I really couldn't breathe that well and it set me in a Panic.

I am just hoping it is not that bad really with pains from my own panic attacks but I hope you don't get it as it's really bad and lasts for weeks.

Oh wow u just reminded me about the panic attacks and even anxiety. I am very easy going so i don't get stressed but during the time I got ill and like a fool going on WebMD it stressed me out so bad made symptoms worse! Never knew how bad anxiety could affect you. I hope you recover soon and find ways to relax and not over think.

Yep I agree but scientists and doctors disagree on treatment options for diseases that we know just about everything about. We are seeing the dissent about treatment methods on a disease that we are just starting to learn about.

This is a bit beyond disagreements about best courses of treatments for a particular ailment or illness though.

This is diametrically opposed takes on what is even happening from legitimate experts on both sides, they could not be saying more different things here. Just the flu, as the epidemiologist in the video I linked says (as well as many other medical experts)? Or pandemic that justifies unprecedented worldwide economic shutdown? Who to trust when everyone is an "expert"? Bill Gates tells me this is going to last for years and lockdowns should not be lifted until vaccines are handed out to every man woman and child on the planet, and the epidemiologist with 35 years experience in that interview I posted has repeatedly stated in his expert medical opinion, vaccines are nice but not necessary, and our response has been a tragedy, it literally brings him to tears to talk about how this is being handled. This is a pretty serious information crisis I think.

I agree.

Imagine how many people will due just to being locked up.

Heart attacks, problems in the muscles, domestic accidents, obesity, blood problems, cancer, and a plethora of other illnesses.

You prevent these people from getting the coronavirus but they will die of other factors.

This whole situation is a tragedy.

I agree. I think the issue still boils down to us gathering information on this thing and why it seems to manifest in such wildly different ways. The Doc in your video keeps referring to it as a respiratory disease but there are other docs out there saying it should be considered more of a cardiovascular disease based on the blood clotting effects.

This conflict of info just seems to ripple out to the media, the politicians, and the public and the further the info ripples out, the further it gets from the people qualified to make sense of it.

Debunked by who? They don't provide a link, interesting that they'd leave that out. I mean, look at what they print a little later on that same page: "That finding does not rule out the possibility that Chinese researchers were studying the virus in a lab when it managed to spread outside the lab, although the government there has denied that."

Does not compute. If they can't rule out the possibility that it came from a lab they can't say if it was accidental or intentional either.

This whole thing, like many other things in the past several years, has made me acutely aware of how embarrassingly retarded and potentially dangerous our ruling media class is.

Yeah, I'm not sure that quite rises to the level of conspiracy. That's more of a "who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?" situation.

I have found that, the past few years, the media declares "conspiracy theories" to be "debunked" by merely calling them debunked conspiracy theories. In other words, they don't actually disprove or try to disprove them, they just declare them to be so.

It wasn't that long ago that the media was claiming that anything but the bat soup was a debunked conspiracy theory. They can't be taken seriously.

I'm sorry, did you not read the "FACT CHECK" in the title? It's been fact checked. Case closed. They even confirmed that Epstein wasn't murdered. Two fact checks for the price of one!

New York is reporting 75 sick children (there were only 12 on Monday) , and the first death (a 5 year old) from the mystery offshoot illness.
The belief is that the kids handle the virus really well by pushing their immune system into overdrive, but then it doesn't slow down once the virus is gone.
If the numbers keep increasing, and it's reported in other states, we're going to need to rethink everything.

Meanwhile, our "president" stated he'll be having a bbq at his house to celebrate mother's day with some 30 people. After being hit with criticism from pretty much everyone, this was his response:

"Ok, three thousand people, then"

PA stay at home extended until June 4th. My county has over 500k people. We have 150 deaths. 70% of those were in nursing homes and most of those people had more then one other condition. This is getting crazy.

PA is still considered on of the top 10 states

You are beating my State CT which open up again May 20 if we hit a few set goals

It has been a while, so I thought I'd share a two graphs covering the US as a whole.

Daily New Cases

zRixLa7.png

Daily new cases is showing a very strong downward trend. Over the past 30 days, we've seen an average drop of about 5000 daily cases. Yes, some states are getting a little worse, but as a whole the US is improving considerably.

Recoveries compared to Deaths
OuZ6Xej.png

When comparing recoveries to deaths, you see a great trend. Over the past 38 days, the average rate of daily recoveries has increased more than four times over. Daily deaths, on the other hand have remained almost completely flat over the same time frame.

Overall these trends are great. Percent daily growth has been in the 1-2% range over the past week. Falling to an all time low of 1.85%. These numbers are absolutely showing us heading in the right direction. Clearly, things are improving at the moment.

Do you have any idea how you caught it?

Get well soon!

I've done literally nothing with this time, and I am really regretting it. Put on weight. Played video games. That's about it.

Why didn't I do some DIY around the house, pick up things I was learning like languages, and read books? I just sit around like a sack of shit and it's making everything so much worse.

Less self-pity and concerning yourself about yesterday, more action in the present to resolve the shortcomings you’ve identified in your behavior.

Create a to-do list and structure your time so that you can begin a positive routine with the things that matter to you, then execute.

I feel the same way. My drinking, TV watching and game playing went through the roof but little else was accomplished. And RDR2 finally goes to game pass right when things start to open back up!! I'm sure I'll look back on the last few months as a nice vacation but it's hard to shake the thought that I could have none nothing but work out and been in shredded shape by now :p

If this is what retirement is like I'm never gonna stop working!!
