What is the status of your next-gen pre-order?

Well, looks like my target preorder JUST shipped with an expected deliver date of next Wednesday. We'll see if Fedex says differently but right now the tracking number doesn't work yet. Fingers crossed for Saturday!

Just got my Wal-Mart tracking number, will be here by the end of the day.

Strange story about this: I ordered the VR adapter last week, never got a tracking number or email. It just showed up out the blue yesterday. This gave me hope for today.

I preordered the PS5 disc version Sept 17. Never got any updates until today. I got 2 emails saying it was delayed...wtf.

Now I have the tracking number and its out for delivery. ??

Shipping history:

11/5, info sent to FedEx
11/11, picked up
Today, out for delivery.

The shipping communication is all messed up right now, lol. And I couldn't do Delivery Manager because somehow my home is listed as a business. So I have to fix that of soon.

Mine said the same when it shipped but my delivery dates changed hours later to tomorrow. Hopefully the same will happen for you.

I hope this means mine actually is coming today and not tomorrow even though both fedex and walmart say tomorrow. i've heard fedex being shakey these past week in terms of delivery time, coming earlier than later

Day 1 order on my 3080 OCUK the retailer took the money and have yet to ship the card out 2 months later now..... Really fucking pissed off now. Will be even more so if it doesn't show up before CyberPunk.

I failed to pick mine up at walmart. No one there has any clue what's going on. Anyone else try to pick up at Walmart yet?

The pick up person just kept asking if I got an email. I said no, can you check if it's in the warehouse? She said go talk to customer service. Customer service said talk to pick up and that ps5s arent coming until december.

Meanwhile when I talk to online customer service, they say it's supposed to be ready today when I get an email. Going back at 6 when it was supposed to be ready in the place.

Thats where I'm at. I think since we set it for in-store pickup that those units dont get charged, but added during shipment allotment. Seriously if they sell our online orders to walk ins, I'm going to lose my shit.

I'm assuming they won't fuck up that hard. But is it really so hard to find out where my console is and tell me when I can pick it up? Fucking disaster customer service.
 
My Target order also just now shipped. Nothing in the FedEx app or webpage. I'm inclined to believe them when they say Wednesday.

It's alright though, I've got enough stuff lined up for the Series X I can wait.
 
PS5 got delayed cause of Veterans Day so I'm waiting till Monday. Sucks cause I was looking forward to spending the weekend playing lol

I just don't understand how their inventory works? They have these in a warehouse, and when they come in for in-store pickup those get taken out of their own stock and set aside for the orders.

The fact that they say dont pick up till after 6pm is just the generic auto reply from online services.

Walmart is garbage I wanted to do bestbuy but it was a shit show back in September. Walmart was the only one I could get a preorder in.

Did you get any emails after the original order? I got one later that said it was back ordered, but to 11/12, which makes no sense, but this time didn't say 6 PM. What a shit show.

Yea, I didn't get that, it just says my pickup will be ready after 6pm? Which to me means nothing.

Sorry to hear that. Target delivered my XSX yesterday and my PS5 is in route to come tomorrow. Been smoother than others for sure, but I've heard shitty stories from every retailer.
 
I was able to squeeze in an order from the MS store at 12:01 on release night. The email said expected delivery was 12/23. Really hoping it comes before that!

PS5 was also ordered from PS Direct. I hope that comes soon too!

No way to know. Seems just about all southern half of NY State, and more along the east coast have no shipping labels. Some in NJ, Fla, ..etc do. More the exception than the rule.

Just got my Sony Direct PS5. Sony really delivered in my opinion. My Walmart PS5 should be ready for pickup this afternoon.

My Walmart order hasn't updated in FedEx since leaving origin facility yesterday afternoon. That was a few states away. I'm gonna assume it wasn't overnighted and I'll get it tomorrow but still kinda hoping a miracle happens and it comes today
 
ps5 shipping label made (finally) and is coming sunday... i ain't mad... just grateful i get to game with the behemoth come this weekend
 
Looking at the status on UPS website and I noticed the shipping label was somehow made after it was shipped on their timeline.

I feel for anyone with Target problems. The order I placed on a non-Prime account, which was saying Nov 26th for delivery originally, just changed to shipped and is arriving tomorrow. I guess I'll give Amazon some credit now!

This is kinda weird, as it's still a week until release. I may get the console way before launch here in Germany.
 
UPS tracking really blows goats.
Twice this week I've had packages dropped on my door step that were supposed to be on the other side of the country according to them.
 
Waiting on mine to be delivered. Was panicked when it was 6 or 7 hours away yesterday and then got within 30 minutes of me this morning. hopefully "soon™"

You checked on the tracking number? Target says Wednesday for all of them.

Tracking will say something different. Mine is for Sunday, till another update. I was going to order for in-store pickup but gave up at 12:30 midnight. The in-store stock came up at 1:30 I think. Gone in a blink too.
