Sony is removing Cyberpunk from PlayStation Store

So, Spider-Man bricking consoles is OK, but cyberpunk not. Ok.
Miles Morales has crashed my PS5 about 10 times. Demon's Souls has done the same but maybe 6 times. Cyberpunk never crashed and that is 15 hours in. I ended up trading in Miles due to the issues....Demon's has not been as bad as of a few days ago...but Cyberpunk never crashed on me once.

I am thinking they should ditch last gen, focus on PC, PS5 and xbox series

Unfortunately, the time to ditch the last gen copies was 6 months ago when they realized how bad those versions were. Now that the cats out of the bag, it's too late. They're obligated to fix it now.

I don't know they are both on my list of the best games I ever played.

I can't say the same about Cyberpunk 2077... well I can't even play Cuberpunk 2077.

are you not playing on PC?

jeez how many console only players are on this "hardcore" gaming forum lol

demon souls remake is one the best games you've ever played? well I guess our tastes are different lol

rather play this. easily. kinda over running around and hitting stuff.

Cyberpunk crashes on my PS5 every hour or so. Never had issues with the other games you mentioned.

Good on Sony. I was so pissed their customer service wouldn't give me a refund the other day, it made want to switch to PC gaming as soon as possible. One of the benefits of console gaming is quality control after all, and if a game that crashed my brand new PS5 8 times in 3 days isn't worth a refund then I am not being tied to your console. Thankfully they did this.

Sorry but I don't play games on PC.
I don't even have a PC at home... just the working notebook.

BTW I never played Demon's Souls Remake... the PS3 version was my GOTY 2009 and one of the best games I played in my life.

Yeah, so I don't get why those games don't get removed from the PSN store.
I don't think That removing cyberpunk has anything to do with quality issues, it's more a political decision.

Yeah, it is weird. I have several IRL friends that have Cyberpunk and no crashes or others that have crashes often. Same with Miles...some no issues, some crashes left and right. It is very weird.

For what? Stop hating because the game isn't playing right on your platform. Some of us are enjoying it immensely and have no issues.

they're butthurt because PC has workarounds that don't involve buying an entirely new console for 500 dollars.

Also, screw this game. 4 hard crashes and 1 of them causing me to rebuild the database motivated me to do it.

Fallout 76 was in worse shape than Cyberpunk. Didn't see anyone delisting that.
FO76 didn't have a largely functional PC version and a broken, unshown, unreviewed console versions creating a sense of false marketing

FO76 had bad reviews and people knew what they were getting if they still bought it

can't be a PC elitist when I have it all. I just expect "hardcore" gamers to be versed in PC as well.

Like I can have a conversation with you about consoles and PC, and the games that play best on each. console only folk can only talk to me about one side.

Holy shit.

Fuck CD PR for even trying to do this. I used to joke about Cyberpunk getting downgraded but I never imagined anything like this.

Good on Sony. Golgo 13 Golgo 13 now you can play this game on your pc in all its next gen glory. ;p
Also wanted to add that even though my system isn't cutting edge, it's decent enough and I should probably make it a habit to buy multiplats on PC in the future, all things considered (and also that my PC is more powerful than a PS5 aside from the SSD difference (Gen 3 vs Gen 4).

I wouldn't be suprised if this is CDPRed's last game.
Devs delay a game, they get slammed.
Devs release a game with bugs(that peeps know will be fixed) they get slammed.

Fuckin snowflake gamers shit me.

I don't blame the Devs if they walk away.

well fallout 76 had bad reviews because it was a bad game. not just because of bugs. that has weight...

you guys however, are acting as if cyberpunk is fallout 76 in substance because of it's bugs. difference.

I guess somebody can update the OP with the CDPR comments.

"The Management Board of CD PROJEKT S.A. with a registered office in Warsaw (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") hereby publicly discloses the decision of Sony Interactive Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as "SIE") to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice. The decision was undertaken following our discussion with SIE regarding a full refund for all gamers who had purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store and want a refund at this time. All copies of the game previously purchased digitally on PlayStation Store remain available for use by their respective buyers.

Gamers can still buy physical versions of the game in retail and mail order stores. All copies, whether digital or physical, will continue to receive support and updates from the Company.

The Management Board of the Company has decided to publicly disclose this information in the form of a current report due to its potential influence on investment-related decisions. "

This is what happens when the only ends is your financial gains.
I can say I'm happy to be playing this on PC, but I'd be really happy IF the game was in proper condition, at all.

Never heard of anything like this before.

i'm sure it'll be back up soon enough once CDPR improve it. I mean the game itself is fine it just runs like ass on 7 year old hardware. Shock horror i know...

Do you blame the consumers who walk away (get a refund)?

I've been playing on my ps5 and in the 9 hours or whatever I've put in its crashed 5+times. I like the game and when it works it's passable. I thought about refunding but realistically id just buy it as soon as it came out again fixed anyways but who knows when that will be

I'm a PS fanboy and I have a PC and Xbox

Sorry mate what platforms you own don't mean shit. You're an eltist. You know it. I know it. No point trying to hide it

Should have been PC only, I never cared much for this dev tho.

I guess the market of ~150 million consoles was too much to pass up

To delay a game once is carefulness. To delay a game thrice is carelessness.

Devs release a game with bugs(that peeps know will be fixed) they get slammed.

Maybe if they didn't set over-optimistic release windows, there would be enough time to get rid of bugs before release? You know, like EVERY GODDAMN PUBLISHER DID BEFORE DEVS COULD RELEASE SHIT AND FIX IT LATER. Your code is not part of a Cinderella story. It will not turn into a pumpkin if you don't publish it before some arbitrary date.

This excuse infuriates me. For one, it's usually only uttered by millenials and zoomers who don't understand that this is not normal, or acceptable. Those of us that grew up before digital distribution understand that releasing broken shit at launch is a fairly new phenomenon on consoles. You had one shot, maybe two if you were lucky with a reprint, and that's what everyone had for all time.

For two, it's white knighting corporations. And doing that alone is bad enough, but doing that with this game? Fuck.

For three, you deadass gonna ignore the downright deceptive marketing of not showing any gameplay from the console revs?

Fuckin snowflake gamers shit me.

Fuckin white knights shit me.

The nerve of those gamers, demanding a working product. How fucking dare they!

me either tbh. i thought of this too lol

people happy with the umteenth souls redesign, the umteenth assassins creed, the umteenth bethesda game, far cry, etc

this whole hate bandwagon, imo, is worse for gaming than thinking you're taking a stand against bugs.

say goodbye to ambition. we're even less likely to get it now lol

Bethesda just got bought by $7 billion and they've released more broken games that CDPR. Some people weren't around for Daggerfall in the 90s...

But the thing is that those games work when released except for Bethesda. If Rockstar can get RDR2 to run well on base consoles with all that detail plus the complex AI with NPCs then CPDR has no excuse.

I mean the game itself is fine it just runs like ass on 7 year old hardware. Shock horror i know...

Then put that on the front of the box for PS4.

"Runs like Ass"
- NeoGAF

"4/10"
- IGN

When you ask for $60, then you will get feedback from people who paid money for "runs like ass."

Dev lies, ask reviewers to lie with them, hide what you will buy, release a broken product and you still find people to defense shit practices.

Yeah, thats why they released the game like this, loosing 5 billion in stock, their reputation and their future income

Because they just wanted the best for gamerz, but gamerz wouldnt listen :messenger_sad_relieved:

I hope that everyone thats requesting reimbursements apologize eventualy directly to CDPR

Yeah, peoples standards and acceptance of bugs has changed over time. Eg Rockstar games used to be buggy as shit, now they are highly polished

If you don't move with the times, the response to your games will come to reflect that

yeah but bethesda is less ambitious and tries to recycle and come up with easy solutions to pad their recent titles.

CDPR actually tries to put some of their heart into it, hand writes each quest, tries to make the best game ever made each time and they are one dev and a smaller studio that doesn't own other studios.

they are in many ways still a small dev, people act like they weren't still indie in the witcher 2 days. so it's very different than cdpr situation.
