Nintendo Direct 2/17

Man none of these games interest me but You can't help and not be mad at nintendo. They are so sincere and polite and the directs are always so straight to the point. Gotta give them kudos for that

Horrendous presentation. There wasn't one single game there I'd even download for free. Utter shite, I could have spent the last 50 minutes jerking off ffs.

Now you see why Microsoft fired them from making Scalebound.

yet they have made countless games for Nintendo, Sony, and third party all on time? I think they do too many projects at the same time. Spread too thin, dont know whats going on for bayonetta 3 wonder if it's more of a performance thing on switch since the game needs to be 60fps.

Well, that was a waste of time. Like three new games (none very interesting) and fifty ports of old games. And an announcement that they have nothing to say about BotW2. All they have for the big 35 year anniversary is a port of SS, lol.

Guess my Switch will be collecting dust for another year or so once I'm done with SM3DW.

Unfortunately there was almost nothing in there that excited me (Octopath Tactics was neat).

guessing they omitted any Mario stuff and Zelda stuff for their own direct? I can't believe that Skyward Sword HD. Mario Golf, and Mario 3D World are gonna be their big 2021 games... I'm being pessimistic, right?

Anyway, good thing I have a deep backlog on the Switch already.

5/10 direct tbh, we ain't even getting lazy n64 rom dumps for the 35th anniversary....................

disappointing showing, expected much more from nintendo, they seem to be running in circle...
but they are alos selling a lot consoles, so apparently i'm the strange one
Corona saved Nintendo. People are buying anything these days, and switch is no exception.

I mean, switch is approaching Nintendo 64 like drought in terms of new games.

Finally, Skyward Sword HD is happening. Can't wait to play it, it's such a lovely game.
Also, pretty excited about Legend of Mana, seeing as I just beat Secret of Mana the other day!

That was pretty good.

I was a little letdown when Aonuma said they weren't showing anything BotW2 related. And I guess it's a little far fetched to expect anything Metroid related.

But oh well. We got so little last year, so it's better.

Not good, but not bad.

Now, I want to see SS fans fighting with BOTW fans. Man, the level of insecurity from the BOTW creator telling to their fans to give a try to SS is something.

Fuck man. Not a doom and gloomer but that scraped the barrel IMO. What could Splatoon 3 possibly offer that couldn't be released as part of an expansion pass? And it's coming in 2022. Same year as that Square Enix RPG.

Zelda is 35 and we get Skyward fucking Sword. And that's it? Pure piss.

Skyward Sword, Capcom Arcade Stadium and NG Trilogy were the only things of merit here.

In other words, absolutely awful Direct except for old games I already own and will by again.

Now I do have to criticize Nintendo for the lack of Zelda news, I wish they explained more on why they weren't going to show anything. I understand the virus and whatnot but he mentioned the development is going good so why no news or some screenshot of the game?

Anyways, not much here for me unfortunately. I tried Splatoon and can't get into it. Looking forward to NMH3 at least. Wait for "E3" in June it is I guess...

Man the more Nintendo sell the worse their games become. Fml.

We need another GameCube era scare put into them. And they do need to invest in more studios to vary their lineup. Back then they had the likes of rare and silicon knights making a variety of different genres etc.

That said, Bowser's Fury is probably the best 3D mario yet so that's good.

Not much in this Direct that I liked except MHR and Project Triangle Strategy. Looking forward to a whole bunch of Pokemon goodness next week though.
