It goes both ways. Making the big games exclusive to Xbox brings in more potential hardware sales.
Small games like Death Loop, Tokyo Ghostwire, and etc can rake up extra cash on all platforms since they're not big enough franchises.
I don't think a game is "too small" to be exclusive either. It goes both ways. Making the big games exclusive to Xbox brings in more potential hardware sales.

TES VI, Starfield, Doom and Fall-out next will be available only on Xbox an PC.
Please leave me 100 reactions, I'm trying to achieve the trophy!
The exact same reason Sony Let The Last Of Us come to The Xbox, Right?Microsoft would be dumb as fuck to keep Starfield and Elder Scrolls off Playstation.
They don't want to make millions of extra dollars? I doubt it. Will they do everything they can to make them look absolutely more stunning on Sexbox? Of course.
We know that is bullshit. We know sony started way ahead of Microsoft in building next gen hardware, Microsoft waited for full RDNA2 so knew they had the confidence when asking AMD for the most power they would get it

Xbox sales are a drop in the bu net for MS, I doubt trying to price gouge Sony is their objective. They're trying to build their GamePass exclusive content.MS will make Sony pay a small fortune on every game going to ps5.
That's how MS will make back their 7.5b.
Those games will probably never go on sale or be a ps+ title for an extended period of time.
We know that is bullshit.
Their final silicon and final devskits were just out at similar time.
Even the production date on consoles are similar.
I don't think a game is "too small" to be exclusive either.
I.e grounded and battletoads.
Lol okay you may have a point therePeople keep saying Microsoft needs to build hype or them not being clear is weak.
These same people don't realize the concept of "Earned Media". Microsoft has everybody talking about them right now. It builds hype, anticipation, fear, denial, excitement, depression, and suspense all at the same time.
Microsoft is in the driver's seat right now with a bunch of carrots tied to the bumper. Us lowly rabbits keep trying to nip at them but Microsoft accelerates just out of reach and will continue to do so until they decide to let us eat.
Source? We dont know that, we have 3rd parties saying they had more time with sony dev kits
I'll see you in late 2022. If TES 6 is exclusive I'll buy an xbox. (never owned one)The exact same reason Sony Let The Last Of Us come to The Xbox, Right?
I changed your quote a bit. Read it and think about it for a bit.Sony would be dumb as fuck to keep huge games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok off Xbox.
They don't want to make millions of extra dollars? I doubt it. Will they do everything they can to make them look absolutely more stunning on PS5? Of course.
They had way before that.. even if they don't own one they have access to devskits via 3rd parties.
And yes all Bethesda's PS devkits are now Microsoft ones... it is a company asset.
I believe both Sony and MS knows way before us the specs of each system... that include low level specs that we don't know.... things like Sony upping the amount of RAM at last moment is not usual
In the industry.
I did.

ethomaz lol'd a link to the wayback machine.
So what's new here? With the addition of the Bethesda creative teams, gamers should know that Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.
Yes but this is the worst outcome for Game Pass. MS need to be explicit on what's exclusive and what is not exclusive. Otherwise they will be plenty of gamers waiting instead opting to sign up to Game Pass
People who invested in 500$ box would prefer spending 70$ for a game, rather than spending another 500$ for GamePass. Not really, if you have Gamepass you know you'll get all the games day one, if you've got a PlayStation you've got no idea still.
They are both.No they aren't. Devkits are leased not sold, and interfering with them is legally actionable.
Nah, you can emulate Switch on PC and have a superior experience than playing on the original switch hardware. The objectively best combo is PC + Nintendo.
Do people even realize what "some" means. So what's new here?
Seems like the same thing we knew last month
Well I guess now we know all future titles won't be exclusive, only some...
Not the news I'd want to here after multi Billion dollar investment.

Most of them are the games, people already played the last generation. I personally bought Xbox 360 for a single game, because of system seller not because of Xbox Live perks.Gamepass is about 170 games, not one.
Cope, the only PS exclusives going to PC are old.By that logic with all those ps exclusives going to pc. "Lmfao no more exclusives for Playstation".

Yeah, so same shit we already knew.Do people even realize what "some" means.
It literally means "an unspecified number". It could be 1 game. It could also be ALL games. Or it could be all but one game.
Its deliberately chosen to keep people talking. And it obviously works.
ethomaz do you know what way back machine is? It's a snapshot from the website as it was at a moment in time. What it means is that your recollection is wrong and Bathesda definitely didn't announce the game with a PS logo. Not sure what's funny about that, you should probably just admit you were wrong.
Omg you've totally changed my mind.I changed your quote a bit. Read it and think about it for a bit.
Access to their IP, and to open the door to freely incorporating them into GamePass. Can I be honest here and something I don't understand is that what the hell was the point of them buying Bethesda for 7 billion dollars yet they are doing a case by case basis for Bethesda games to be exclusive to Xbox and some on PlayStation and Nintendo?
Since when were those games multiplatform? (I don't agree with the other person about Starfield though, I don't think that was ever announced as multiplat). The exact same reason Sony Let The Last Of Us come to The Xbox, Right?
I'm inclined to think that too, they're still being intentionally vague about future plans though even with the purchase having been completedBy "some" he means all that are not under other contracts.
I'm still waiting his reply why Series X's GPU has old parts from GCN to RDNA.![]()

Don't think I've ever seen someone chat so much shit with so much authority. No offence mate.
They are both.
You can buy DevKits or received free from Sony/MS.
If you enter in the PlayStation development program you can buy a PS4 devkit... the PS5 not yet because it is limited in quantities and Sony didn't started to sell it.
BTW PS4 Devkit costs around $2500.
Anybody can buy it to start to develop a PS4 game (Sony still needs to approve your game to be released when it is done even if you brought a devkit).
No.You're confusing devkits with test units. BIg diff.
I understand, and would completely agree with this take if I thought MS needed brand exposure more than anything else. But MS has the reputation, and has dominated countless (gaming) news cycles the last 10 years. At this point I think they need less brand exposure, and more purchasers / subscribers. And I am not convinced that promising "some" non-disclosed games will be exclusive translates to sales / subscriptions in the present. And the present is when these consoles should start becoming attainable (hope so anyway).People keep saying Microsoft needs to build hype or them not being clear is weak.
These same people don't realize the concept of "Earned Media". Microsoft has everybody talking about them right now. It builds hype, anticipation, fear, denial, excitement, depression, and suspense all at the same time.

You sure love to console war.I'm still waiting his reply why Series X's GPU has old parts from GCN to RDNA.
He keep PR all parts are RDNA2 when we already know it is not.
Streaming is also with ssd and raytracing. But choosing between play native with the ps5 with ssd and raytracing or a laggy streaming must be hard, gamepass or not
