The lack of info on God of War Ragnarok is concerning

im not worried until they say they are "aiming for a fall release" once i hear that i know its officially a 2023 game

Thats how i knew HFW was getting delayed out of 2021 and BOTW2 was getting delayed out of 2022

It's a bit early in the year to be speculating a delay. I mean sure anything's possible but is there any evidence to suggest that a delay is happening?
There won't be one. It was a 2021 game. Imagine if they delay it to 2023 lmao.

Schreier also said it won't be delayed to 2023. The game seems to be quite far along in development.

I have no rush for this game after these first 3 months. There's still Forspoken coming before God of War as well and I'm talking about AAA titles only

Well if Jason said it he probably has a source inside Sony/SSM. He was right about PlayStation Plus so he's probably correct on GoW as well. We just have to wait and see what will happen.

Covid forced delays the last two three years it's been covid it's an absolutely dynamite franchise for Sony Kratos is one of the best and when needed god of war ps4 proves he can hold dialogue.

I'm not worried. They are making people digest other recent games like Horizon and new updates like Returnal first.

For me there's a lot to play, so I'm not in any rush personally.

The amount of impatient and entitled idiots on this forum is astounding. Learn to fucking wait and stop acting like spoiled brats. There are so many games to play.

I would be concerned if it was a lesser Studio. It motherfucking Santa Monica, one of the best in the industry.

They took some slack for the visuals looking the same as GOW 2018, I bet they took that to heart - And it will look significantly better the next time we see it.

Thats how they do
It looked so much better then 2018. People were watching youtube vids, or a shitty 1080P monitors to notice it.

No evidence to suggest a delay. Releasing any time in 2022 wouldn't be a delay, as it was not given anything more specific than "2022".

No, not really. I expect a release in September/October and it can easyily have a proper marketing wind up from June/July and onwards, similar to Horizon Forbidden West.

I don't see why anyone would be concerned with an established IP. GOW2 will play like GOW1. What else do we need to see?

I dunno. How is this different from Sony having firm release dates in 2021 for GT7 and HZD2 and both ended up being delayed?

I think it gets delayed. Sony doesn't usually hold games this close to their chest less than a year before release.
I'm pretty sure that first trailer of GoW2 had 2021 release date in it. It's already delayed.

Hope they improve the pacing problem of the 2018 game, I still prefer the original GoW trilogy in terms of pacing.

you mean this?

to me this could be just PR talk

. . .and any info about the games release before it actually has a release date isn't?

SONY is pretty deliberate with their marketing campaigns and that they aren't ginning up a bunch of pressers or "reveals" for a game a good number have already seen in action isn't sign of anything more than "SONY is pretty deliberate with their marketing campaigns."

No ?
Relax ?
Even if coming late, so what, it's only a game to "concern" about it ?

People are concerned for nothing nowadays.

It's been 6 months since we had the only thing that can be labled as "info". So it's now April and we're yet to have a release date, or anything new , really

With the recent news from Sony shifting towards acquisitions, VR 2 and PS Plus, i fear the game might not come this year if we don't get anything this month. And that's because i don't see it releasing in October-December, as it's not the way Sony usually works with big games

What do you think?
I wouldn't worry unless it's July and nothing has been said. And if it gets delayed then it gets delayed.

We've seen a gameplay trailer and other games had to be released first. We've seen more on this than any other unreleased 1st party game that's coming this year from Sony or Microsoft. Please stop being so dramatic.

Has schreier ever developed a game? How is that moron suddenly an expert?

Not really...its gow 2018++...Its a game that needs one or two trailers since it doesnt really need to "sell" anyone on it. It'll be fine and great...it comes down to the story for a game like it.

They just released Horizon, GT7 and had Ghostwire exclusive. They hands were full enough, I can't see the need for new info about GoW in a crowded quarter like this

Is this a joke? He clearly has many inside contacts across the industry who are very aware of planned release dates. He's not a moron, and is arguably the only reliable insider in the entire industry.

Hahhahaha
"Concerning"

Deeply troubling indeed, we enust get to the bottom of this to relieve our concerns, fears and WORST NIGHTMARES

People said the same stuff about Elden Ring. Lack of info is not concerning. Let them work and stop badgering for scraps of gameplay.

Why when it's only April. Go back to 2018 when we had barely seen any of God of War 2018. They didn't start promoting it until the end of January that year if I'm not mistaken. Ghost of Tsushima we barely knew anything about until April or May 2020. Sony typically doesn't take the full wraps off their games now until months before launch. The game could still be coming this summer/fall. I expect we'll see something here in the next couple months.

Really if anything starfield is the one getting delayed
Nope. Bethesda just recently confirmed again that starfield is releasing this year. Santa Monica studio hasn't said anything about gow2 since last June, close to a year ago. I think the silence is more concerning. This is not like them to stay silent.

We've actually seen gameplay of gow and hardly anything from starfield that's more concerning for me

Yeah, what 60 seconds close to a year ago? That ain't gonna cut it. We saw a ton of gameplay for gt7 and hzd2 as well before they were both delayed. That doesn't really prove anything.

As for starfield, this has been Bethesda's marketing mo for their last several games. They don't do the big blowout until e3 the year of release. So just wait until June and you'll be sated.
