I tried about 10 different games in Steam, but none of the keys worked.

So I guess either these keys simply don't work in Steam or Ubisoft have fixed their screwup.

Unfortunately, the key didn't work for Steam.

Anybody know another place I can put the Far Cry 2 key in and download? Don't see anything on Ubi's site.

So the keys are useless unless you can use them on Steam (which, again, I wouldn't recommend just yet)?

I'd be wary of this, actually. If Ubisoft decide to revoke the keys (which they most certainly will) it's also possible they'll ask Valve to revoke the keys from the Steam accounts to which they are tied. In which case, it's likely Valve will drop the ban hammer.

Damn, anyway - played this over the weekend. Gotta say, absolutely loving it.

Sorta lost interest in Anno 1404 in the last few months after completing campaign, playing the crap out of sandboxes etc.. So this one fills the void quite nicely. Different to Anno obviously, but I do like these micro-management RTS'. Great stuff.

I don't understand why it's free, all I know is that it's free. It's a good game, and is usually much more expensive. I don't know if this is an Australian exclusive or not? But it's on the Australian page.

This deserves it's own thread but I don't have the ability to make a new thread yet. If a mod see's this maybe they could make a new thread?

God damn this moved fast, I wish I could have gotten on it, since I've been eying settlers 7 for a long time but didn't want to pay the full price.

That was honorable of them to honor their mistake, for sure, but I don't think this translates to many lost sales. That is unless all of you were planning to spend $1000 on Ubisoft games today and suddenly found this.
