It's not even the weekend man. (Edit, turns out it's Saturday, I've had a week+ off work and I'm devastated to find out it is Saturday, I thought it was like Thursday, back to work Monday)
You have plenty of options:
Make a thread and cry on neogaf.
Delete games
Move games to external HDD's
Wait for a sale on these proprietary expansion cards (they are on sale currently)
Buy a 2tb device & be depressed about how much it set you back.
Play games on cloud & not worry about storage...

I wasn't aware Xbox Series didn't support cold storage for games. Did you even try plugging in an external hard drive?

Honestly, just buy a Series S and use the savings for extra storage. Pretty much the best combo out there to make the most out of Gamepass. You can't blame Phil just because you are making the wrong choices.

This is a pretty odd suggestion, by the time you've purchased a series s and extra storage, you might as well purchased the more powerful series X what has more storage than the series s from the get go.
Don't get me wrong though, I think the series s is a nice system though, but I don't think it's the type of system you'd own if you intend to expand it's storage and have loads installed.

As I know that's also the case with ps5. They said Ratchet and clank can only work on ps5 because of the i/o and ssd, so it's not exclusive to xbox.
You can have an external hard drive you can use as transfer between internal and external.
Also, xbox 360 and Xbox one games can be played on the external drive.
It's really your fault not knowing what you are buying.
